"The Guljar Tandoori Lydd, Romney Marsh On our last night of our holiday in Camber Sands we went for dinner at The Guljar Tandoori Restaurant. We had a very warm welcome by Mohammed who explained the menu of the Banquet Night. We ordered our food and soon had our starters which was well presented and delicious. The mains soon followed which was very plentiful and very tasty, each dish had its distinct taste and flavour. Everyone in our group was filled at the end of the meal. Yousuf at front of house was very friendly and professional in his approach. The set Banquet was very good value. The desert menu was not reflective of the food menu, it looked like pre-prepared desserts and not Indian based so we didn’t have desert. Overall very good food and good value."

The restaurant was very accommodating to our vegan diet, offering a variety of delicious dishes that we all enjoyed. We will definitely be returning in the future.

Was recommended this restaurant and it didn't disappoint. Everything about the experience was 5* my only regret is that this establishment is 160 miles from home. Highly recommended...

First and last time. Awful, too much salt and mushrooms tasted out of date and perfumed. Didn't taste like authentic curry. In fact didn't taste like curry. Oh well a bowl of cornflakes instead.

Food was either luke warm or stone cold.Wrong nann bread delivered, one was correct.Chicken was very chewy.Did not get the correct chutney.Popadoms were soft.Rice was tasty.Sauces were nice. One person enjoyed their dinner.Very disappointed. Was staying in the area for a friends birthday, decided a take away. Wish we'd cooked something that paid £45.00 for what we recived.

I order every 3 to 4 weeks it's always been amazing and I alway's pay the same amount of money but tonight I thought I would order something extra well to my surprise i got charged an extra £20.00 I even got a phone call off one of the workers from a mobile number not the business asking me for my security code on the back of my card I've never doubted them before. I also spoke with the manager he said he would ring back but never did. DON'T USE THIS TAKE- AWAY IF YOU USING CARD.....

I ordered takeout from Guljar last night, but when I got home, I discovered that three of the dishes were wrong. I had ordered Keema Rice and Kashmiri Pilau Rice, but instead received only one serving of regular Pilau Rice. Additionally, I received potato chips with skins instead of the Keema Rice. The food was cold when I arrived home within 5 minutes. When I called the restaurant, they were rude on the phone and insisted that my order was correct. I decided not to pursue the issue further. It was disappointing to encounter such rude customer service and receive incorrect food. I will not be ordering from Guljar again.

"I have to say since having my baby, I’ve been here twice, and it’s the most unwelcoming place I’ve felt being a Mum. The first experience, I had to change my baby on the floor of the toilets as there are no baby changing facilities available. (A mat you can place on the floor is kindly leant against the wall of the ladies toilets. That’s the extent of it . When booking with a high chair, there is no mention that there is no designated baby changing facilities. The second time I came I just didn’t bother trying, as I was advised that a table can be moved into the ladies loo if I don’t want to change her on the floor. We were kindly given a high chair as requested. However the type of high chair provided, my daughter is just ever so slightly still too small for (she is 13 months-the straps just don’t hold her in enough, not a fault of the pub, just a generic high chair that we aren’t quite ready for, in some places we’ve been the straps have been secure enough but sadly this one was not . So I decided to get my pushchair in and use that for her to sit and eat in so she’s safely secure. When it came to the attention of the staff that I was going to get the push chair, I have to say I have never been made to feel more of an inconvenience than I was today. Since having my child. I was met with comments “you’re going to get your push chair!?” Like it was a travesty. And then met with an enormous amount of comments, looks and whispers and fussing around me, about how this was going to take up too much room, we’d inconvenience other guests (may I add no one came to sit at the table we were next to at the time for the entirety of our stay!? , there was ample room for someone to sit and not be anywhere near the pram. But instead we had to take all our things and move…right in the doorway!? Where the pram was then right in the way of everyone coming in and out or passing to the main restaurant. I have never been treated so poorly in any establishment since becoming a Mum. It’s played on my mind all day and quite frankly I feel humiliated. I wish I’d known this before coming and I won’t be going again, and I want to as a Mum, let other Mums know. And give the restaurant a chance to accept my feedback and maybe make small changes to be more welcoming to mums with small children. There was another family with a baby in a pram across the way, I don’t think they received the same treatment, but I would stress this is not a baby friendly restaurant at all at the moment. My advice as a mother, is if someone calls to advise of a baby on the booking, advice them that there are no baby facilities, even if you have plans to add it in, it’s not there now and changing a baby on the floor is not acceptable or sanitary, bringing in a table without relevant safety features is equally not acceptable. In addition, be aware that some people may be bringing a pram as well as the need for a high chair. Every mother has a different scenario they bring when going out with their children."
