The Griffin - Carte

The food at this restaurant was delicious and the atmosphere was friendly. I was expecting typical pub food, but I was pleasantly surprised by how good it was. I will definitely be going back. Plus, there were a couple of friendly cats hanging around.

This was the comment by my boyfriend at the end of yet another perfect Sunday lunch. We live in Chiswick but have struggled to find a local pub or restaurant that matches The Griffin, so we travel the couple of miles to this gem in Brentford. Always enjoyable, not just for Sunday lunch

What a fantastic pub, the food is amazing, we had the Haggis samosas, the salt and pepper squid, and the burger, absolutely faultless. The staff here are so attentive. The whole vibe is fantastic. This pub is fantastic. I stopped by on a Saturday before a Rugby game just planning to have a quick drink, but the service was so excellent that we ended up staying until shortly before kickoff. I had the Roast Beef Horseradish sandwich and it was absolutely delicious. I would definitely recommend it.

This local pub is consistently good. The food is amazing our party on Sunday had faggots, a small plate of Sunday roast beef with all the trimmings and two monkfish. Sometimes we pop in for a snack such as the garlic prawns. There is always a welcome in a pub which has retained its character whilst providing amazing food so unusual in a public house

Excellent Sunday roast, very good service I took a beef roast, my son a lamb roast Both were delicious with a lot of gravy and a very good Yorkshire pudding The vegetables at side also very tasty As dessert we had cheesecake which was served with whipped cream, strawberries and berries The service was great. Visiting from Scotland to see our son. Wanted to take him for Sunday Lunch before we headed home. Joined Brentford friends on FB and the Griffin was recommended. Decided to give it a go and it definitely did not disappoint. Had the meat feast roast, slice of beef, lamb and pork. Meat (apart from pork) served medium rare just as we had asked for it. All trimmings and gravy, lush! And also the young girl serving was very polite and smiley. A real local pub. Made outsiders feel welcome.

This restaurant exceeded our expectations. We thought we would be getting typical pub food, but we were pleasantly surprised. We ended up going two nights in a row and I ordered the same meal both times because it was so delicious. The food quality was top-notch, the menu was diverse, and the wine selection was excellent. The atmosphere was cozy and the locals were friendly, making us feel very welcome. The service was outstanding, with a charming and attentive server who made sure we were well taken care of. I highly recommend this pub to tourists, but make sure to book a table in advance as it is a popular spot.

Crispy skin and succulent meat The sides of cauliflower cheese broccoli and carrots were served sl dente full of flavour and texture The home made stuffing was spot on As were the two most important parts of a roast the gravy and roast potatoes Washed down by a pint and a half of Fullers London Pride beer My wife had pork belly which had the meat falling off of the bone she love it I have certainly found my go to...
