"We were staying at the resort so thought we’d try out the restaurant. The restaurant is lovely, tables spaced out well, nice and quiet and ambient atmosphere. The pizza chef was out which we were told in advance so no issues there. The main menu is varied and the food was good but does quality does seem to vary by dish. My partner had the scampi which he raved about and I had the curry which was okay but in my opinion not worth the £12.95 paid for it. However, the brownie pudding was to die for. That I would eat over and over! They are clearly short staffed so anything related to that isn’t affecting my rating. Definitely book in advance, especially during busier times and whilst still in this pandemic. Overall a nice visit and easy if staying on the resort, but a bit overpriced in my opinion."

Booked in for an evening meal during our holiday at the resort. I could have eaten my meal all over again! Looking forward to visiting again. Good prices too. A simple and convenient way to have a treat and forego cooking!

Nice little restaurant and bar with varied menu. Can get busy so booking advisory. Staff very friendly please note it’s closed Tuesday and Thursday,not sure the reason for that,maybe staff shortage or the time of year we visited. Voir le carte

The staff at this restaurant deserves recognition for their hard work, as they are often short-staffed and unable to keep up with the competition in the local market. This sometimes results in closures or changes. It is unfortunate, as the existing staff are skilled and the food is of decent quality.

We have visited Retallack several times over the years and have often commented on the lack of dining options without having to drive somewhere. We have also suggested that the resort could make more of their lookout area. During our visit in July, we noticed that they were making efforts to improve the lookout, but it still felt unwelcoming and underutilized. However, we were pleasantly surprised to see the lookout advertised in the welcome pack upon arrival. We dined there twice and were very impressed with the food and atmosphere - it felt like a place you would actually want to go to, rather than a neglected space serving pizza once a month in an old village hall.
