The Gourmet Burger Kitchen Notting Hill

This place has some of the rudest staff ever, I wish it disappeared in the next recession. The general attitude towards customers is probably the worst I've ever encountered on international travels.

I often pop into the Grocer. The produce is of a very high standard. The upmarket ready prepared dishes are extremely good as is all the other things on offer. The bread is artisan and very tempting.

We were visiting Portobello Market and found this place when we grew hungry. We each had a Cheeseburger Lunch which was very good. They have good pricing and best of all: it's the first place in London i but my burger medium. Voir le carte

Honestly, first visit in your chain, really surprised! Very good food, quantity was enough. The facilities are great for kids. Only bad mark. The service was not smilly and not really warm neither tough... I will anyway recommend this address ;

As title said, everything as standard requirements. I supposed to order to the waiter as almost restaurant in the world but after you know what you want you have to go to the till and order by yourself. The girl by the till knew nothing about the menu and for all my questions she asked the manager in charge. Btw everything was nice. Quality/price good!

I purchased this with high expectations at the price of almost £9.00 I was very disappointed, whils the meat was moist to be fair as it was on the bone (contributiong to the overall weight of the product) the sauce was very thin (too thin) and firey with chilly and little else in the way of taste. No disipherable coconut milk, lemongrass, galagal or other traditonal spices or flavours. How can this company get is so woefully wrong? Hugely defalted I woudl NEVER buy this again. Voir le carte

It is unclear if the owners, Ashley Sumner and Vivienne Hayman, ever read reviews, but it seems that almost every review praises the excellent food at this restaurant while also mentioning the rudeness of the staff. The manager, a dark haired man, has not smiled in years and never acknowledges regular customers. Recently, a staff member I had never seen before went as far as to follow me around the shop, accusing me of shoplifting because I had not picked up a basket. This behavior was unacceptable and left me speechless.

This place is the best. Their sandwiches are beyond delicious and their coffee is absolutely perfect hot and strong. I dont know how to describe it other than classic Italian coffee. If anyone knows what makes their coffee so good, please explain as I don 't know how to articulate it. Other places (especially those flagging their 'artisan ' coffee) just don 't hit the mark; too milky, weak and tepid . No, this is the real deal , you can sit in the space out back and noone bothers you. People complaining about staff; they may be a bit subdued but they 're not rude. If you 're a regular they 're super sweet and accommodating.

My boyfriend and I wanted to try the food for a while so decided to finally enter the restaurant. We were not greeted with 'hello ', just 'table for two? ' which was rude. We ordered our burgers from the lunch menu, and the bill came to approx £19, which for what it was, was overpriced. As shown in the pictures, the 'skinny fries ' were so 'skinny ' that they had no potato in them, and the chunky fries were near enough all batter, and there were hardly any of them! I ordered the chicken burger and I have attached a picture to show the so called salad in it one piece of onion! Really unimpressed with the service and the food overall. Will not be returning.
