Staying at the hotel so had an evening meal. Nice staff. Agree the food choice was limited but the quality of ours was very good. Good fish and chips, and a very nice halloumi burger.

Great hotel, great staff. Only gripe is the food menu which is very limited and at £14 for basically a Birds Eye burger, not great value for money. Would stay again though as everything else was fine, will just grab a Just Eat next time ; Voir le carte

Good hotel with good location. Friendly staff and the room was very good. Clean and everything was there what it needs. Very spacious room. The beer was very fine on tap and the food was good. The breakfast was plentiful. Overall recommendable

Over night stay to brake up a long journey . We were very surprised at the welcome, how clean. It was absolutely lovely stay , the food was lovely they catered for my wife's dietary needs no problem, really enjoyed it, and will definitely go back. Karen Dave. Wild-limb

Booked a last minute room for the dog and myself. The bedroom was spacious, had a comfy bed as well as a seperate twin room off the main room, and it's own parking space right outside. The bar and restaurant are all dog friendly and do meals for dogs as well as humans. Poppy (who looked after us) was very friendly and is an asset to the company. My dog loved his stay here. The room was much, much smaller than expected and close to a room with a group of people, laughing and screaming, and quite drunk! Then there was the “Restaurant” experience. i ordered a burger because it came with a salad. However, there was 1 small leaf under the burger (soggy, tasteless and greasy burger). When I asked about the salad, the person who served me indicated the one leaf. It truly felt like a Monty Python movie. Not to talk about the waiting time: appointment to eat at 19.30, dinner arrived 20.40. Truly awful!

Booked based and a few pics and reviews.. walked in not knowing what to expect and was very surprised at how lovely it was inside. Lovely bar area and lovely staff. Room was really lovely and clean. Nice large comfy bed. Shower was nice and hot. I sat and had the gammon egg and chips and a few drinks and felt very comfortable there. Woke in and went down to breakfast which was more continental style. Staff member made me a pot of tea and was on hand incase I needed anything else… I was very happy with the food and had my fill before I headed off into Llangollen.. I would 100% return

Wedding Anniversary overnight stay. Great surroundings. Meet greet superb. Food. Absolutely dreadful. Asked at 5 o 'clock for the dinner menu and told the Chef was preparing it. Went tin to restaurant at 7. 5 of the 6 choices (see photo) for dinner was frozen food. No peppercorn sauce, cheesecake or syrup sponge. The deep fried sausages in the sausage and mash should only be used in hand to hand combat. The triangular preformed frozen fish and frozen chips left a lot to be desired. In all an anniversary meal we will always remember for the wrong reasons. It was a continental breakfast in the morning as I think they just couldn 't be bothered to cook anything.
