My fish was batter, and the chips were french fries not as on the menu. Poor value at Local chip shops much better they can get proper chips...

delicious vegan options and beautiful staff. I had the red pfeffer and olive oil linguine followed by the vegan chocolate brownie that was so amazing!

Busy spot in lovely location. Families welcome and very friendly staff. As good a pint of Guinness as you’ll get outside of Ireland. Didn’t eat has had already booked somewhere else but this too looked good. Will be back. Voir le carte

Our favourite pub overlooking the beautiful harbour, a lovely friendly team, who made such a fuss of our labrador Nelly, very dog friendly in areas allowed. Ate here , food very good and portions generous, can't wait for our return

We had an excellent meal with friends on Thursday night. The food was delicious and the staff were very attentive. They are a young team and were very welcoming and polite. Will certainly be paying another visit. Well done to the George Team.

Tonight My sons and I were treated to a meal at the George by my Mum and step dad. My youngest son has just finished years of chemotherapy and is autistic so eating out is a gamble. I could not have asked for more...from the George. The food was exceptional and the staff couldn’t have been more helpful, even letting us have some of the hickory smoke sauce to take home fulfilling our search for one sauce that ticks all the boxes for my boy. We visit Weymouth regularly and this bar restaurant is always one of our favourites. This time unfortunately we didn’t have a great experience. Admittedly it was a fairly busy Saturday evening and we were grateful that they managed to fit us in. We both had...the steak ordered medium but both steaks were well done and very tough. The waitress asked if everything was ok and I mentioned that the steaks weren’t great. She said she would feed it back. It was a shame as everything else was good.

Nice location right next to the harbour. Young girl behind the bar who served us was cheerful and polite. Visited as a couple and my partner ordered the fish and chips. Unfortunately it was a bit of a let down. The fish itself was not...particularly tasty and we couldn’t make up our minds if one end was cooked or not. Expected much more sitting right next to the harbour… The drinks served were nice and cold which after a long walk was pleasant. Probably worth a visit, maybe we just got a bad bit of fish…..

Sunday lunch short menus but something for every taste. started with the calamari cooked superbly served with a fresh rocket salad fresh dressing. Calamari itself was soft and melted in the mouth beneath a crunchy peppered batter. main course we had rooast beef, must say...not the usual carvery! roast potatoes crunchy on the outside and soft and fluffy on the inside, vegetables was cooked to perfection cauliflower cheese, creamed swede, roasted parsnip roasted carrots, brocolli and cabbage, cuts of beef very thick with stuffing ball and pigs in blanket well its nearly Christmas) topped with a huge light yorkshire pudding with lashings of thick gravy. the food came to us piping hot. staff wer...
