The George And Dragon

It’s a small, very old pub, around 500 years old. It’s had several owners, since I’ve been here in 1984.

Camped over in the large carpark, great atmosphere and service spot on. Will definitely be visiting again soon.

Visited for a meal which was delicious. The beer was spot on and staff friendly. I wish that we had a pub like this in our village Voir le carte

We are pleased that we decided to come back to the George and Dragon besides a good pub menu there is also a specials board as well. As a roaring fire in the dinning area to great you as well something that is very much appreciated this time of year.

Went with friends and they refused to accept a valid ID even though we were told by the same staff member that a different bar would accept it, but she wouldn’t! basically seemed like she was too embarrassed and stubborn to admit she was wrong and just serve us and follow procedure! Voir le carte

This is about 4 miles away from me, but is my regular place to go. The food is superb, as is the service. The staff are all really friendly and manage to keep the friendly professional approach at all times. The standard never dips, which is reassuring and the cleanliness is visible through the pub.

My husband and I had lunch on a Sunday. I had the turkey roast and he had the steak onion pie. Both were accompanied by mash, cauliflower cheese, broccoli, mixed boiled vegetables Yorkshire pudding. And, of course, a large jug of tasty gravy. The turkey was excellent and plentiful, very tasty and moist. The pie was superb! It had a proper shortcrust and a tasty filling. We didn't try the desserts because we were too full from the main course, but, from what we could see from the other diners, the desserts looks great! We will definitely return!

Fabulous local pub set in a lovely rural village. Sooo lucky to live here but more so because on this pub restaurant. Great little pub with a great selection of drinks, plenty of seating with lots of parking spaces outside. Bolted onto this business is Bangla Cuisine (see review) and when this is closed Mondays they arrange for a fish chips van or pizza van to visit and feed the hungry! Time Plaice do great fish and chips, whilst Marco’s serve fantastic pizzas. What more could you ask for? A pub that caters for everyone and again is a shining light within West Haddlesey Chapel Haddlesey. Keep up the great work guys! Voir le carte
