Had a family Sunday lunch here and would thoroughly recommend. Proper old fashioned Sunday lunch. Gravy certainly doesn’t come out of a packet. Will certainly return.

lovely inn friendly clean excellent food and amenities with good ambience .new owners have taken the pub over and buoilding up a good reputation garden amenities also available for children and good garden area seating

I was at the place tonight after I wasn't there anymore. under new management and the place was beautiful and clean, kovid measurements at place and place and a warm welcome. was not a fan in the past, but really enjoyed tonight.

a couple of bee Elgoode’s cambridge were shown for an evening meal. we need vegetarian eating and the simple menu was delivered to our table on skewed that we had or decisions. veggie burger came with brilliant kimchi coleslaw. and home cooked rosmarin chips. personal-friendly, table or bar service. great!

Just called in for an early evening meal, the staff were very friendly and helpful. They were happy for us to bring our little dog in with us, I had a pint of beer and my wife had a cider strawberry and rhubarb on...tap. Our meals, mine Rib eye steak with home made chips, my wife had belly pork. Both meals were lovely thank you to the chef and staff.

from a very well maintained garden and an outdoor kitchen/bar area. noisy music that sounded outside, also not beneficial for a peaceful drink. at least a total adjustment is required inside and outside. the employees were insecure of trips and products. that can be because they are new, but first impressions are not good. would be ready to try again a much needed upgrade is done.

Great carvery with several meat choices to go with all the traditional veg and gravey and the most super yorkies. The vegetarian choice was a roasted veg tart with THE best herb pastry and all the trimmings! The desert choice included good old school puds...with custard and lighter choices. All food was home made, and the coffee declared ‘as good as mine’ a compliment unheard of We would have taken more photos but we were too busy munching.. we have already booked our next visit

We stay very close to this pub at a caravan site close by, but over the past couple of years it has changed hands several times, but nobody seems to be able to make a go of it , no atmosphere when you go in,...as ex publicans ourselves we see the need for a welcome when you walk in, some sort of chat etc, that’s what makes people want to come back , it’s a prime location but lacking a good publican . Food is hit and miss yes one day there is food another no chef or can’t be bothered. Shame
