"I booked up to stay for a night and wow what an absolutely beautiful place, amazing and friendly staff that catered to our every need, nothing was ever too much, service always with a smile, the food was out of this world the place itself was stunning, I stayed in the shepherds hut for a night and I will totally recommend it to anyone the best nights sleep ever,, everything about the masons Arms was so very clean, the shower blocks are probably the cleanest I’ve ever seen, such a beautiful and friendly place will definitely be returning"

"I feel as though the positive reviews on service must be false… such a shame to have to avoid the only pub in the village for fear of being verbally accosted from the moment you walk in. The landlady is just incomprehensibly rude, dismissive and just plain unpleasant… to everyone?! It’s like an airport, when it’s your only choice, you sometimes have to go there. Although I do AVOID this place at all costs. You are fairly safe if you just get a drink and find yourself a corner, but even then… and god forbid you ask a simple question, want to order food, want to book a table, turn up for your reservation (on time! , want some sugar for your coffee… READ THE REVIEWS, it’s all true… if you want an insane experience (a real life Karen’s Diner…? then feel free to try it out. If you want a nice evening out, afternoon drink… avoid!"

"We visited this restaurant for a family breakfast on Sunday morning, and it was fantastic! The food was amazing, featuring locally sourced ingredients, with delicious eggs, sausage, and bacon. The coffee was great as well—I really can’t tolerate bad coffee! The service was impeccable; the staff working that morning were friendly and attentive. The atmosphere was wonderful, and we’ve always enjoyed this pub. We definitely plan on coming back for breakfast again—it was delicious!"

"LOCATION: in a quiet village close to a local pub about 20minutes drive from Taunton. WELCOME: a pleasant informed welcome from the proprietors shown to the room etc. THE ROOM: we had the red room although it was a little bijou it had a very comfy bed and all the amenities /facilities you would expect with an ensuite shower and toilet, which was very well appointed the room was spotless. THE RESTAURANT: the food was a little pricier than expected but as they say, you get what you pay for, food was plentiful made with high quality local produce cooked very well and served courteously and professionally by the staff,, a very decent array of drinks is available to consume with your meal. never felt rushed . BREAKFAST: done on a pre-order basis on arrival, which some might not like!!. again an excellent array of food served and cooked very professionally in a relaxed atmosphere, A big thank you to jane, Crispin, and sue and her helper for excellent service during our short break will definitely return next year and highly recommend."

"What an absolutely wonderful evening. We will definitely be returning. The dining room is relaxed and elegant. The food was exceptional. Seriously delicious and generous. The service was thoughtful and light hearted. It all just felt like a good balance. They brought us some Westcombe cheddar fries while we were waiting to order they were unbelievable! Just wow! My grilled octopus was smoky, sweet, succulent and indulgent. Perhaps it was hungry, but this was probably one of the best things i've ever tasted! The pork with nduja and sweetcorn was brilliantly satisfying and tasty. Then the rum baba desert with peach and yoghurt sorbet WOWOW. So damn good."
