"If you're walking around the Wye Downs, this is a great pub to stop for lunch. They serve some unique ciders which are really good. I tried the apricot one and although quite sweet, goes down a treat! The space is lovely inside and out, with a quirky unisex toilet. We were a big group, so we sat at a reserved section outside under the canopy, and service was on time and they didn't miss any of the 20 orders! The SEA BREAM FILLET, Prawn Risotto, Seasonal Greens was fresh and well seasoned. Would highly recommend! Next time maybe I'll stay at the hotel!"

Stunning country pub with a beautiful garden and friendly, welcoming staff. We didn’t stay for food but had a thoroughly enjoyable drink in the garden taking in the surroundings and decor. Look forward to returning as soon as we can!

I had a evening meal with my partner and we were really welcomed into the restaurant by Simon. We were promptly seated and overall the food, service and drinks were top notch and we loved the customer service provided by the team. A big shout out to the team on Friday evening. A great place to eat and drink will definitely return.

I had a wonderful experience at this restaurant! The rooms were fantastic, the food was great, the pub had a lovely atmosphere, and the staff were absolutely superb. The management was very accommodating and helpful when we had to arrive late in the evening. The restaurant is located in a beautiful and quiet area. I will definitely visit again and highly recommend it.

I don't typically write reviews, but this place definitely deserves one. We made a pit stop here from Le Shuttle with two hungry, tired kids. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive. The pub itself is stunning, with beautiful decor that gives off a cozy pub vibe with a modern touch. The food, including the children's menu, was excellent, and the service was top-notch. Thank you!

This place is ridiculous — some of the best customer service ever experienced anywhere, ever. Seriously. Very good food, especially the ‘trawler Tuesdays’. Situated in lovely countryside with great views, nice walks, local vineyard, other pubs within walking, driving distance to other attractions, etc. Some imperfections in the rooms eg a crack in one of the window panes, but it’s part of the character. We’ll be back.

Amazing!!!! Having stayed at a few places close to the tunnel before, expectations weren't high. However, the 5 Bells is in a different league!!! Amazing welcome upon arrival, a beautiful room, fantastic dinner and tip top service all in one! Literally could not have expected better, or more friendly and personable service! Have NO doubt about visiting/ staying, you will not be disappointed! Thanks for a great dinner and a lovely experience!!

Rooms are beautiful, some imperfections here and there, but it just adds to the character of the place, also Very clean, and well furnished. The bed was a bit soft for me, but that is down to personal preference. The one place this venue absolutely stood out was the service, which was impeccable. From start to finish we were well cared for by friendly, helpful, charming staff. Also the food was excellent. I mean, seriously good. Rooms don't have TVs. Bring a book if you intend on spending a long time in the room.

What a stunning restaurant! The quirky decor and vintage knick-knacks give it a unique and cozy atmosphere. You can even purchase their pickled products, apple juice, and olives on display. The food was fantastic, especially the bread and olives. The warm bread with salted butter was delightful, and the olives were the best I've ever had. The service from Jen was outstanding - she was welcoming and attentive. Despite being the last ones there (a group of 8), we never felt rushed or pressured to leave. We will definitely be returning.

"Got married here on a Saturday in May and the team here was the best venue we interacted with. Nothing was too much trouble for Alisha, Amy, Louisa and special shout out to Ellie who was delivering shots to the dance floor and started dancing with my cousins! The team made the day extremely smooth, the tables set up the day before in prep which meant we could see it the day before and make any changes if necessary. The mics and ceremony space was all in working order and all our guests said they could hear every word. We viewed so many venues and I had some specific requirements. My now Husband (how weird) was set on this place and I wasn't sure as we were only able to find time to view during winter but he was so right. They let us plate smash, have candles lit at dinner and use every single room for different activities (e.g. beer pong in the greenhouse). They had lots of different spaces which meant the day could be split up and feel like there was always something going on instead of waiting around. We had a set plated menu several guests said it was the best food they'd had at a wedding! The portion sizes were very generous and the service smooth. Mas made sure to save a tray of canapes for us while we were taking photos and at the end of the night Ellie made us a pizza to take back to our hotel room as we didn't have any. We wanted to ensure all the evening guests had enough but there was always more than enough so we didn't need to worry! We were able to leave things there that night and come collect it all the next morning. The team had collected it all and kept it aside for us. During the night we hit our limit for the open bar and they gave us fair warning when we were getting close to the limit. Only criticism was for the tastings, the menu was split into two different days and because we lived out of town it meant we would have had to stay over to try it all which was too difficult so we only tasted half the menu before choosing. Overall, it's a beautiful venue, staff always on hand so friendly. Highly recommend."
