One of the worst dining experiences I've ever had. It felt more like a meal in a nightclub. If they want to have a conversation, they should bring a megaphone! The service was lacking, but it was clear that the staff were overwhelmed.

I had one of the worst dining experiences ever. It felt more like eating in a nightclub than a restaurant. You'll need a megaphone just to have a conversation with your dining partner. The food was actually decent, but the service was lacking. The two staff members seemed overwhelmed and were obviously stretched thin.

I received friendly and efficient service from John, the bartender, and the waiter during my visit. Later, I enjoyed a delicious smoked squid with broth at a nearby spot. The dishes being served to other tables also looked appetizing and were clearly appreciated by the diners. This was my first visit to The Drake, but I will definitely return on my next trip to the area. Voir le carte

I was warmly welcomed by John, the barman and waiter, who provided friendly and efficient service. Since I was heading to a Burns supper later, I opted for a delicious smoked haddock starter along with a basket of bread. The dishes served to other tables looked tempting, and it was clear they were well-received as they disappeared quickly. This was my first visit to the Drake, but I will definitely return the next time I’m in the area.

We were sat alongside a table of men watching football who were loud and constantly swearing. Staff seemed to be accepting of this despite it being immediately beside our table which we had pre booked for dinner. The food was cold, we gave this feedback to the person attending to our table. She said “Oh, I will let the kitchen know” and nothing else? There was no further acknowledgement or reference to the feedback provided about the food being cold.
