"kim and her team have made a top job for mamas woke. the venue was ideal for our event with 50 guests. the employees were all very polite, respectful and efficient. before the event they ensured that the room was set up on request and was very flexible when fulfilling our wishes. we received many comments from our guests about the quality of the buffet food and when we went back the next day to the pieces we left there, we stopped at lunch what was really good. this jewel of a pub is a little off the beaten stretch, but we will be worth the visit. there is a good round 45min to walk and dog friendly, we will definitely return for a place of lunch."

"I’m writing this review primarily to highlight the exceptional service provided by a young waitress at this establishment. On Sunday, June 11th, our walking group arrived at the Swan later than anticipated, feeling hot and thirsty due to the warm weather. From the moment we arrived until we left, this young lady went above and beyond to ensure we were taken care of. She had a remarkable ability to anticipate our needs before we had to ask. Her demeanor was sharp, friendly, and incredibly efficient. She maintained a positive attitude, bringing us multiple jugs of iced water along with various soft and alcoholic drinks. She took our orders accurately on the first try, delivered everything simultaneously, and checked on us regularly, treating us with a level of attention and care that I've rarely experienced elsewhere. I would hire her in a heartbeat; she is a fantastic example of immense potential. The food was also quite good, but the service truly stood out. Thank you for the excellent experience!"

"We had our small intimate wedding at Frasers. My husband I could not have asked for a more perfect setting for our special day. Jo and her team were exceptional in all that they did. I booked the absolutely stunning Pond cottage for the night before with my sisters. It was the perfect place to stay and prepare for becoming a bride: . From the moment we arrived we were taken care of. Thank you Jim (the chef for cooking a wonderful evening meal and serving us : . Thank you Jo, your team. You are wonderful and looked after us, ensuring every fine detail of our stay and wedding was absolutely perfect. We choose to have our intimate ceremony in the gardens, this was followed by an absolutely delicious afternoon tea for our 30 guests in the most stunning barn resturant and a wonderfully relaxing several hours in a private garden with outside bar with family. "Most enjoyable meal we have had in a long time! We saw the black horse on instagram and decided to check it out. The new owners have really made this pub into a 'destination ' pub. There 's a relaxed, up-market vibe to the place and the food is outstanding! The owners are up front of house and they are friendly and tentative. We were out for a family meal but we both have said can 't wait to go back and have a proper date night! It 's 'posh nosh ' without the stiff, formal atmosphere that often accompanies this kind of dining (having said this, you could easily dress up and go for a date and not feel out of place) We had the crab, the carpaccio and the scallops- all utterly delicious! Followed by the duck and the hake. My duck was perfectly cooked. Everything is beautifully displayed on the plate and the flavours and textures are perfect. If your thinking of going- I can 't recommend enough that you do. I 'm thrilled to have this fine dining gem of a pub practically on our doorstep. Looking forward to coming back later in the month."
