"Most enjoyable meal we have had in a long time! We saw the black horse on instagram and decided to check it out. The new owners have really made this pub into a 'destination ' pub. There 's a relaxed, up-market vibe to the place and the food is outstanding! The owners are up front of house and they are friendly and tentative. We were out for a family meal but we both have said can 't wait to go back and have a proper date night! It 's 'posh nosh ' without the stiff, formal atmosphere that often accompanies this kind of dining (having said this, you could easily dress up and go for a date and not feel out of place) We had the crab, the carpaccio and the scallops- all utterly delicious! Followed by the duck and the hake. My duck was perfectly cooked. Everything is beautifully displayed on the plate and the flavours and textures are perfect. If your thinking of going- I can 't recommend enough that you do. I 'm thrilled to have this fine dining gem of a pub practically on our doorstep. Looking forward to coming back later in the month."

as I was informed on Monday before our booking that they did not serve food until December, we did not actually serve on the black horse. I suggest they update their information.

my wife and I went to lunch and we were blown away. I had the scallops and I escaped the two 10/10. the house front is led by the man and the woman who both like to have a chat. will be visited again (and again)

booked online and the booking was accepted and I received an email confirming the booking, but we drove 45 minutes to get there and found it closed. what a color, not only in the name of the black horse, but open

I called a few days before my booking to confirm they don't eat anymore. it is only a drink that appears to discover that the reason why they do not eat because they have closed. what the guy neglected to mention on the phone. quite shocked communication. Voir le carte

Lovely pub in the centre of the village. The food is always superb, manageress is very accommodating. Staff attentive but not fussy. If you stop in for a pint or 3 course meal you won 't be disappointed. Gorgeous garden to sit in or cosy updated pub feel to welcome you inside and also with ample parking. Thank you the black horse !

The Black Horse is a beautiful restaurant with delicious food. The service is also very good. My only feedback would be that Sunday dinner is a bit pricey and the options are somewhat limited. I noticed that other diners received larger portions of meat, and the beef was quite nice. However, I wasn't sure if the vegetables were from the end of the batch during our last visit. If there isn't enough food to serve the expected portion sizes, I would prefer to have the option to choose. I’m not sure if I'll be returning.
