Dennington Queen - Carte

Called in on the off chance for evening meal. Staff very friendly, and the choice of food was good. All served piping hot, and good sized portions.

Had Sunday lunch today and it was superb both food and the staff were faultless and to top it a surprise to finish as it was our wedding anniversary Can't wait to return

We were stranded in Norfolk Saturday 20/10/2023 due to bad weather and flooding. The Dennington Queen opened its doors to stranded drivers, had a welcoming fire and fed and watered us all. What amazing people. Would recommend a visit very highly.

We regularly dine at the Dennington Queen and have always been so full of praise for Jon, Lorna and their team. Service always fantastic, food always spot on, and without fail, always a wonderful atmosphere. Sunday lunch is always great, and the sticky toffee pudding is just brilliant.

Although food was good service was very poor... presume it was busy in other half of restaurant as we struggled with service in our half... not what we expected. Special occasion booked months in advance...despite happy birthday wrote on a plate at 9.30 ... too late..... service was poor. Voir le carte

Went for lunch with three friends. Staff were fab, atmosphere good and food generally great. Out only ‘gripe’ was the poor selection of veg with the roast. It was as if ‘oh we have to supply veg’ . A few boring carrots, white cabbage and a few beans, not enough for 3 people. Veg are very much part of a roast but these were an afterthought. If not for veg would have given 5 stars.

The atmosphere was excellent, could not fault that and the food was well cooked and excellent. I really enjoyed that part of the evening. The major issue was with the HOT chilies. I thought the red round object on my dish complete with seeds was slice of cherry tomato until I put it in my mouth and realised my mistake a red hot chilie. I could not breathe. My friends were very concerned about this; strange the service staff were not. I asked what the chillies were and I was told chef says they are red ones. No warnings and no tasting of the chillies in the kitchen!!!

This traditional pub, wow, great food, great service, good prices, always full and busy!! Had a really good experience at The Dennington Queen (again), and had some amazing food, but the service, everyone we dealt with couldn’t be more helpful, we had just about the right amount of attention without it being intrusive which made for a great evening. Choices were excellent, even for vegan food and they were happy for us to mix and match choices around. Cauliflower starter is insanely good, as was the sweet chilli chicken and sticky toffee pudding! Coming back again before we go home. Voir le carte
