I was recommended this great restaurant and I'm so glad I found it. The food was excellent and everything was cooked fresh (which means it takes a little longer). Definitely the best curry house in Halstead! Overall rating: Food 5, Service 5, Atmosphere 5.

my man and I ate in the curry cottage for the first time tonight. it was excellent! everything was freshly cooked and the naan, swashing and samosas were delicious. the pardanishi chicken was great! to be honest, everything was delicious! the restaurant is immaculate and the service was great. sam, the owner, was very friendly and it was a perfect evening. it may have been our first visit, but it will certainly not be our last! many thanks to all in the curry cottage.

The service and food at this restaurant are outstanding. I had a takeout vegetarian meal that was made with great quality ingredients and was very tasty. The pricing is average, but be aware that adding sides can quickly increase the total cost. It's a popular choice in town for a reason. The decor could use a refresh, but the atmosphere is lively, especially on a Friday evening. Parking might be a challenge as I had to street park for 15 minutes on a busy road. It's recommended to do some research on parking options if you plan on dining in. Overall, the service and food were both rated a 5 out of 5, the atmosphere a 4. Price per person is around £20-30.
