Not sure where the problem is in reality, but definitely my OpeTable-based experience with The Crown was as bad as possible. So my advice would be to book directly. Good choice of food no specials which was a shame. Selected two dishes but was informed mushrooms were included in sauce/item but this was not written on the description.

A little disappointing this time, hard cabbage, indescribable carrots, attention to detail required. A facility can soon get rid of customers, it would be a shame for a rural space.

The crown previously visited and really enjoyed it, but it seems to have gone downhill. Had the worst roast potatoes I ever tasted. It all tasted like it had been reheated. Very disappointing. Voir le carte

Have eaten here a few times. A little on the expensive side unless you go for their set meals. Get atmosphere, cosy, beamed pub. Waitress rather sharp in her attitude and disappointed that salad was not an option instead of vegetables- so no side dish given. Problems with obtaining extra bread for starters too. Otherwise food very good and substantial.

Visited lots of times and always been pleased until Saturday evening.. My son forgot his ID and even though he didn’t expect an alcoholic drink the bar staff and manager were very off hand to the point of rude. Food average burger undercooked and old salad (wilted). No one asked if we would like any sauces etc. No waitress assigned to our table. Very dissatisfied overall.
