"2 visits so far (takeaway) and nothing from both will stop me going back. Even though they were busy today I ordered my food for a time, turned up on the dot, and it was being packed up ready for me. The burger specials are amazing (had both The Elvis and Chicken Parm so far) and I am sure the desserts are on par. I just can't justify busting my diet that much!! Very friendly staff both visits, the fact the cafe is always busy is a very good sign. Must remember to try and limit my visits to one every couple of weeks....ish..."

Called in and had a really nice homemade chocolate brownie which was delicious and a coffee. Couple on next table had a full English which looked very good.

Lovely warm staff very accommodating. Food was pretty good had the sweet jam, chorizo and halloumi toasties. I wish they did all day breakfest though missed it by ten minutes.

great building house breakfast and excellent service. I tried to visit the afternoon before to try their burgers, but I was a little too late. will definitely visit again when I am in the opposite side. Voir le carte

Didn't try the food but the oat milk late I had was great. Love the range of milks available, I couldn't choose but the member of staff we were served by helped me out and definitely made the right choice for me. Can't wait to go back and try the food.

Went for breakfast after a rare visit to Wigan. Had the breakfast burger which was so tasty, comprising bacon, sausage, egg, tomato, onion and melted cheese on a brioche bun. Served with chips and cost less than a fiver. I washed it down with a...Colombian filter coffee. Nice cafe and nice staff

Courtyard is always my go-to treat in Wigan when I've got a day off or I'm seeing my friends. I have to say that it certainly isn't the place to go if you're concerned about your waistline, but thats partly because all the food is...just so tempting! A rotating menu of specials every month keeps things fresh, and I always feel like I got more than my moneys worth. I love a good burger, and Courtyard's are unmatched. Voir le carte

Not a vegan or vegetarian, but love the food here. Small dishes available, but I love the hearty potato hash, delicious and packed with flavour cheese, spinach, mushrooms and onions. Decor very cool since the move to the Old Courts and the drink selection is as good as most bars. Service is good too and we were welcomed with a toddler. Whilst there was able to nip in to neighbouring Static Records too. Great lunch overall.

I got the vegan chimichanga and my partner got the halloumi and chili chicken grill sandwich both were excellent! great value for money. both with chips, two cold drinks and a coffee came to us both were filled! just what I get...it's strange that they have such a fantastic and varied vegan menu, but don't offer vegan/dairy free milk, for example soy, cocos, so coffee is no option if they are vegan or lactose intolerant. we will bring back a beautiful little place and so friendly staff, although they are torn by the feet.

"After reading the reviews we was really looking forward to eating here ,however it turned out to be the worst tapas and worst service we have ever received . After waiting 10 minutes for someone to take our drinks order we then waited a further 30 mins to be served with what can only be described as toast with tasteless mushed up tomatoes on , this was inedible and hardly touched , a further 20 minutes on and we was served a single dish of chicken between two of us again this was very bland and resembled nothing like a original tapas dish more like a chicken korma again this was hardly touched . When I enquired as to where the rest of the food was I was told they was very busy . With this we decided to cut our loses and asked for the bill . Before leaving we tried to have a conversation with the manager who is also the chef to give some honest feedback ,however he wasn’t open to listening , he’s response was “it’s normal in a tapas restaurant to receive one dish at a time between two with a large gap between dishes wasn’t it explained to you that’s what tapas is “We felt this was a very patronising remark as we eat tapas on a regular basis and know this is definitely not the case . To matters worse there was people who came in after us with multiple plates and tucking in nicely to their meals . The manager who was obviously struggling to cope on a busy Saturday night should have just apologised and admitted our order had been overlooked . If you are looking for authentic Tapas with excellent service in Wigan go to Casa Carlos this place doesn’t deserve your hard earned money ."
