Not many of these English boozers left !! Great, hot homemade food, just what you want on a rainy miserable day !! Lots of choice and good value for money. The young lady behind the bar was very polite and welcoming.

Terrible.awful Sunday carvery.lack of service.food was just plonked on.sruffing raw.roast potatoes hard.mash had something unidentifiable in it.sprouts like rock just awful.minimum gravy.i would say felt like an inconvenience.shocking.will never come again.

I had both a breakfast and a carvery meal today from The Cottage. The carvery was amazing. Fresh vegetables, plenty of meat, nice selection, proper home made feel to this meal. Uber delivered and it was warm, well packed. Fully recommend this, looking forward to a visit to the pub

Nipped in for some breakfast and it was amazing, staff couldn't been more helpful, polite and friendly. Quick service, food was brought out and tasted fresh. Simply amazing. Had a carvery delivered through just eat, and that was simply amazing too. Hats off to the chefs and staff. Would recommend to anyone and everyone!!

A very nice Sunday roast in an old type pub with a log fire good beers and friendly staff , Well Done Brad the best young waiter so helpful , the beef pork and turkey is very tasty , the roast potatoes could have been little hotter , its fair to say. this is very good for families and young children are welcome , the car park can get full but there is street parking.

Awful, 5 of us came for a carvery today, more staff than customers, ordered a beer, a coke and a fruitshoot and somehow that took 3 separate members of staff to make, the food was bland and it took 45 minutes for an ice cream Sunday to arrive whilst all the staff members stood around chatting and vaping behind the carvery deck. Disappointed and won't be returning, customer service was shocking.

Staff where ok, the place was tired could do with decorating. The food tasted ok but the turkey was hacked instead of carved, so instead of slices of turkey we had lumps instead!! I thought a carvery was that a carvery! Where the meat is served and you help yourself to the potatoes and vegetables. Here it is all plonked on the plate in what can only be described as a mess! Also they put the food on the plate before you can answer if you want it or not. In my opinion not what a carvery should be and won't be going again.

I have ordered food from here via Just Eat and it was delicious, I really can't complain about that. So we decided to try the eat in option, what a disappointing experience it was, we were shoved upstairs in the most dirty and dingiest of corners, the carpet was disgusting, I'm sure there must have been a pattern under the filth somewhere. The attitude of some of the staff was appalling very unhelpful and rude about a member of our group. Also I am disabled and when questioned if we could sit downstairs as I struggle to climb stairs, I was told it was upstairs or nothing. We left without ordering it was so bad and will not be returning anytime soon!

Visited on a Sunday and had reserved a table.Carvery was low on everything we were told to sit down and somebody would come Over and tell us when it had been replenished, that didn’t happen so we went up again 20 minutes later and there were still no carrots or roast potatoes. We were told that it wasn’t the staffs fault that they had 100 orders to get out for Just Eat, with no apology offered I understand they would be busy as this was a Sunday, but to not cater for people who have reserved a table and concentrate more on online orders is just poor customer service. The food itself was average, meat was dry and lacked flavour. Would not recommend this venue for Sunday dinner as they are una...
