"Booked table for 7pm and looking forward to a lovely home cooked meal. My partner had pork and I decided to have the lamb carvery. Once sat with our meal I started with the roast potatoes which were very Luke warm and had gone rubbery due to them being left standing for some time and didn’t taste that good either. I asked my partner to try his and his were the same, I moved on to veg which hey you guessed luke warm. So I took it downstairs and said the meal was luke warm. I was asked if I wanted a fresh plate with vegetables but really at this point I’d lost my appetite. If I wanted cold/luke warm food I’d have chosen a salad. One of the waitresses came back up to our table and I was told that the chef had he checked the temperature of the food on the plate I had returned and said it was within the temperature guideline for food service. Sorry but I think you need a new food thermometer or check your eye sight. My partner ate his although Luke warm as he’d been out all day driving was hungry. When we went down to pay the same waitress sorted our bill out, making a big deal she hadn’t charged me for the lamb carvery, I thanked her very much and said it was so kind as not to have charged (I hadn’t eaten anything apart from half a roast potato and a slice of carrot) so customer service I’d give 10/10. We weren’t offered any other refund which for this drops the customer service dropped to 3/10. I wouldn’t recommend this place, the setting is pleasant, service could have been better and there are no prices on the menus so go with an open pocket. I would recommend you take a thermometer with you as you don’t want a Dickie Tummy from eating contaminated food."

Met family here for lunch. We all had the carvery which was the BEST carvery we’ve ever had. Great venue, lots of parking, will certainly return.

We went for Lunch the food was beautiful, the staff are very nice and Friendly I had Fish and chips my son had a burger very nice food, going next thursday for Lunch

Had the carvery but its overpriced compared to others in the area. Food options are limited. No salad options or toastie treats etc. It has to be a full meal or nothing. Why no jacket potatoes and salads etc?

Called in for a hot cob and a few pints with friends. the beef cob was delicious! So lean and tender. Served with gorgeous roast potatoes and a Yorkshire pudding. So if you can’t manage a full carvery for dinner, have one of these.

I visited this restaurant after attending a funeral. The food provided for guests was incredibly delicious. The quality was excellent, the presentation was top-notch, and there was plenty for everyone. Kudos to the Coopers Arms for a job well done. I highly recommend it.

I recently dined at this restaurant and was disappointed with the service. Despite informing the server multiple times that I am gluten free, my meal still contained gluten. Fortunately, I noticed before consuming it. The owner apologized, but I believe it is unacceptable for a restaurant to not accommodate allergy requests, especially after being informed repeatedly.

Great view and beautiful period building. Restaurant is clean and has a nice welcoming atmosphere. There was a slight issue with one of the meals but Aimee handled it exceptionally and it was soon resolved. She was extremely friendly and is a credit to your team. The Gammon steak was fantastic full of flavour and succulent. We will certainly be coming again and definitely recommend this place for it’s fresh and tasty food.

The Coopers is a fantastic choice for a family Sunday dinner. We have visited many times and it never disappoints. The food and staff are both exceptional, as is the rotating selection of guest beers. Despite being busy and lively during our visit, our server, Charlie, was attentive and quickly seated us, taking our order promptly. The wait time was minimal, and the staff ensured our meals were to our satisfaction. The portions are generous, and the buffet-style options for vegetables and sauces allow for a customizable meal to suit any appetite, reducing waste. It is a great choice for family gatherings, with options for children as well. Highly recommended.
