"I and three ex-workers went to the city restaurant for our 3 monthly meet and as all previous meet we were not disappointed about eating, service or price. we had all three courses, none of us ordered the same, we had softdrinks, latte and tee and the bill came only £75. the standard of food and the care it presents on the teller is the first class! at least twice in the week to lunch and I am always happy with my lunch. a nice note is as soon as they go into the door, they are welcomed by all employees and when they leave, they all thank them!"

if they have a real taste of Scottish “kitchen”, they do not see further than city restaurant. it is not too far from the royal mile and its location means that it is a firm favorite during the festival season. it's fast, dirty, and I love it!

Very delicious breakfast with plenty of options to choose from including vegan. Food was prepared in about 5 minutes. Polite staff, clean and relaxing environment. Haven't tried lunch or dinner yet, but definitely would come back again in the future.

Great fish and chips restaurant. Nice, modern interior, not super cozy but the fish was awesome! Chips also really crisp, which we really liked. Good portion and definitely worth the money! Best fish and chips we had so far in Scotland, give it a try!

the restaurant had a trendy atmosphere with retrospect. great friendly staff. we had ordered for breaded battered haddock. eating came with a beautiful filet of haddock, generous part of chips and muddy heaps. the fish was fresh and well prepared. we were also glad that the restaurant was open until late.

classic 60’s style. to enter this cafe chippie is like coming back in time. however, all fittings and decoration are clean and fresh. it is all done beautifully and with the freendly helpful staff it is no wonder that it is so busy. my spicy haggis, chips and peasants were excellent and the Scottish tablet milkshake was a leak.

Extremely popular and very busy restaurant. Best to book in advance. Had a 20 minute wait for a free table. Staff kept us updated on table availability. Food cooked fresh. Ample portion size and was delicious. Service was very good. This was our second visit and it did not disappoint. Will be back next time we are in Edinburgh.
