Excellent steak and kidney pud with lashings of extra gravy and veg. Locals' doggy friendly village pub. Log fires and real ales.

back after our last visit in juli, when we enjoyed the fab steak and nierenpude. a light lunch today of delicious suppe. beautiful village pub. pity that they still play covided politicists without standing at the bar. 5 stars.

Booked for a meal on Boxing Day as we were staying in the village for Christmas , very good service, excellent food at a good price. The staff were very attentive and courteous. Will definitely be returning to this pub when we are next in the area Voir le carte

A phrase often over used ‘A Little Gem’ but this place really is. Lovely, friendly staff and a welcoming landlord. Beer kept very well, food excellent as was the wine and brandy. We were surprised at the the quality of the menus, both normal and the specials. Wonderful flavours and excellently cooked. Wonderful, will be back.

we arrived on Thursday at the beginning of December 2021 at lunchtime. we both had an absolutely delightful Brat-Turkey lunch with swarms in cover, filling, bratkartoffeln, carrots, brussels, swedes, red cabbage and much gravure. the pub, the staff and the meal were all excellent, and all were cordial and welcoming. the visit was an absolute joy.

Nestled in a pretty little chocolate box village, my husband and I were staying in the beautiful ‘Nest’ thatched cottage just a 10 minute walk away. We visited the pub a couple of times for food in the evenings. I can highly rate the food, and the service. We were lucky enough to be there on a Sunday and had a very tasty roast dinner. The staff went above and beyond to make me feel special on my birthday and delivered my dessert with a lit candle wishing me a happy birthday. Voir le carte
