"Popped in for Sunday lunch with a couple of friends on the offchance there was space. They kindly fitted us in. Dinner was ok, I had the wagyu roast beef which was ok, and my friends the wagyu burger I wish I’d had that to be honest. Dessert was much better. I had the ice cream With espresso and a plum liqueur (can’t remember what it was called) it was delicious I didn’t really take much notice of my friends puds as I was too interested in mine . There was certainly no complaints though. Service was great. Happy staff, lovely people at the bar and a very welcoming feeling. Definitely be back for the burger next time."

"visited the greyhound with my family and had a nice afternoon before the log fire, followed by a fantastic home cooked dinner! we have shown the accommodation with a view of a future visit in the environment. simple and clean and expensive. we will stay again and cannot wait to taste the breakfast! all talked and saved about it. great atmosphere, friendly staff. highly recommended!"

"We booked after looking at the reviews and had driven past a few times and it looked lovely. When we arrived the initial pub itself is lovely, and looks cosy. When we walked in we let the bar staff know we had a table booked for dinner and the bar man said ‘sit anywhere’ we looked around and none of the tables were set for dinner or even reserved, it felt very informal. We awkwardly chose an empty table (with regular drinkers standing around everywhere and sat down. We weren’t offered any menus, nor were we told if it was table service or self service. (Either is fine, we just didn’t know! Eventually we went up to the bar and ordered drinks. Still no offer of menus… I walked over to the end of the bar and picked up some menus. We had a look and went up to order. As nice as the bartender was, he didn’t know much about the menu/specials etc and had to keep asking the kitchen. Eventually the order went through to the kitchen. Food didn’t take long, and when it arrived it wasn’t amazing, but wasn’t bad either it was all very meh. The whole experience was fine if you were coming for a casual lunch, but I wouldn’t recommend it for a nice dinner with friends. Maybe I came on a bad day as it has the potential to be really great…"

"Room was not great, lights were faulty and beds had stained sheets with a very small old pink tv in the room. The bathroom was moldy and i ended up skipping cleaning my teeth because the lack of hygiene was concerning, aswell as this my dad received a towel with a huge burn mark (we hope it was a burn mark). The pub was okay but it felt like it was more of a family home than a pub and not in a good way, the food was ok besides my chicken burger having a super sweet taste with an overwhelming flavour of dill despite no mention of dill at all, I suspect both the burger and fries were frozen or heated up. Didn’t taste well. Random noises woke us up all night as the walls are so so thin. After playing airsoft all day the hotel made me feel more disgusting than being out all day crawling around in mud. I would say the only redeemable qualities of this pub/hotel is the staff seem friendly and the dogs were very sweet. For 120 a night, I urge you to go to a travel lodge or premier inn. Anywhere but here."

"very good pub lunch, the roast was very nice and the fish was very good. the venue is easy to get to, very good and plenty of parking. tables outside for the summer. Overall we liked this very much, it is close enough to Tonbridge wells for us to choose this over other village pubs and we definitely think we will return. Regarding price, I thought is was a slight bit over priced for a pub lunch, but would not stop a return visit. Menu is quite varied and you can have fresh pizza if you fancy. Children's portions and colouring pad for the kids."
