"The seating is well spaced out and the staff cleaned the tables between customers. The service was excellent even though the staff were busy. The food exceeded our expectations, in freshness, taste and quality. My husband and I would definitely recommend the sandwiches, tuna and cucumber and the ham, cheese and pickle. The floater coffee was lovely and apparently the lager was the best my husband had tasted in a long time! We hope to go again soon to try the hot food and dessert menu."

A recently refurbished flagship pub of the Ember Inns chain. As you would expect the food is good and reasonably priced. Good range of ales and drinks. This place is very large and able to accommodate a good many people.

Lovely little pub. Very clean and nice atmosphere. Staff friendly and attentive to customers. Food was faultless. Steak was cooked to perfection. When asked about the chef was told her was fairly new. Think his name was Matt. Well Matt I can safely safe after eating your food I will be back if I’m in derby.
