"We spent a month at Bradbury hall in May 2022. Because we were long term our room was not cleaned properly. The shower had mold in the corners. There was dust ball underneath the trash can in the bathroom. Also the bedroom floor was not vacumed. There was a night club opened on Friday and Saturday night. With large groups of young adults. The noise was terrible.banging on the doors singing and shouting in the hallways. The first weekend this happened, my husband complained to the front desk. They said because we were staying a long time we had been put in the wrong area of the hotel. But because they didn't have working elevator I couldn't climb stairs. The second week this happened the hotel was even worse a large number of men kept every other customer up all night. Partying in different rooms. Drinking and playing music shouting. I was in tears I was so tired. When we complained, they told us oh yes they had a different kind of clients at the weekends. I wanted to check out of the hotel. But the hotel had taken the whole amounts of money out of our account. But we will never stay at this hotel again, the good reviews I read must have been during the week when the night club was closed."

Lovely quiet hotel right next to the Goyt river. Wake up to ducks quacking! Staff polite and friendly. Room clean and comfy. Could do with a fan or two as it was a little stuffy with minimal air movement.

Not been here in years but went to a birthday party. Prices on the bar quite reasonable, but the decor hasn't changed still has the feel.of what it used to be like. Needs an update but still had a good time

One of my favourite nightclubs musics amazing different bars to avoid long queues plenty of toilets and a large dance floor also has numerous areas to sit and rest your party feet. Always have an amazing night here

We booked last minute forgot to ask for Ground floor room, was immediately moved to a beautiful GF with easy access to amenities. Staff all polite and helpful. Breakfast plenty of choice and very tasty. We will be back .

It's a very nice hotel, rooms have been updated since I last stayed. I think some of the staff could do with some more training, they kept bursting in my room asking if I needed room cleaning and it took them 3 attempts to cook an egg the way I wanted it

Really impressed! Defiantly staying here again. Such good value for money. We stayed in one of the renovated rooms, which was large, comfortable and very clean. Staff were charming and excellent breakfast. The grounds were lovely and quite and the historic decor was nice.

Lovely venue for my nephew and his wife who were renewing their wedding vows. Due to his ill health, they married during covid and could not have friends and family attend. The venue, along with Gift of a wedding made their day perfect from start to finish. Cannot rate them highly enough

We have a Junior suite although it’s large very badly designed the TV Coax has been randomly fitted . No information book. Apparently had to order our breakfast the night before if we wanted it served to the room?????. No information on that !! Only good remark, the staff are very pleasant

Had my sisters wedding here. Great little spot, I couldn't say if the price was value for money for the rooms but atleast for the wedding price it was. Seems like it's also being used for a mid spot/stop for walkers too. Hotel was nice, clean and friendly. Would recommend. Pub prices were a a little on the steeper side (5£ a pint ish). Nice little smaller wedding venue (50-75) and can cater to up to 120 for the evening wedding venue to have in that sense.

"Alborz is a wonderful hidden gem in Levenshulme that serves a variety of Persian and Middle-Eastern food, located on Stockport Rd you could be forgiven for thinking that Alborz is as unassuming as it's humble exterior suggests. However, what lies behind those modest doors is truly fantastic restaurant both in terms of food and service. The interior is understated and tasteful, furnished with Persian vases and ornate tea sets, the tables are close together to make the most of the limited space available but this lends a refreshing communal atmosphere to your meal. The staff were friendly and attentive and more than happy to talk you through the menu and explain the various dishes. We ordered the Mezze Platter to start, this consists of four different starters, and is ideal if you're not overly familiar with Persian cuisine, the homemade hummus was a particular highlight being both fresh and tasty. We then ordered the Alborz special grill for two, which looks as wonderful as it tastes, succulent skewers of koobideh and chicken accompanied by grilled vegetables, saffron rice and a freshly baked taltoon bread which was frankly quite ridiculous in its magnificence and is so large it came supplied with its own stand. This was a true delight to eat and I can highly recommend it. After all of that, we were overloaded with food and couldn't possibly consider having dessert and so, asked for the bill, which led to true surprise of the evening, all of this wonderfully authentic and fresh food came to a grand total of £42. This reflects tremendous value in a time where a meal for two can often prove quite expensive. Overall I would say that Alborz is definitely worth visiting if you're in the area and if you're not well then it's worth making the trip for. If you're a fan of Persian food or perhaps want to try something new then you would genuinely struggle to find such a quality dining experience at this price point."

"I've been to a couple of different Dishoom branches a few times and have never been disappointed by the breakfast options. The sausage naan roll is excellent. A couple of really tasty vegan sausages with some melted vegan cheese all wrapped up in a lovely soft naan and served with some sort of sweet chilli dipping sauce. My go to now is usually the vegan Bombay. It's a good hearty breakfast plate with... a couple of the same well seasoned vegan sausages. Some vegan tofu akuri a nicely spiced tofu scramble. Some very well cooked mushroom slices (that are maybe a wee bit under seasoned). The baked beans are really nicely spiced, elevating them far beyond the standard sweet sauce fare that's the usual. A few slices of well flavoured black pudding (that could be fried to being a bit crispier). A cooked tomato which is a bit dull, I've never been keen on tomatoes on my breakfast plate and this once has not changed my mind. It could do with some more charring and maybe some spicing. To help you mop everything up, the whole thing is served with a couple of soft bread buns that have been nicely toasted. I usually top the whole thing off with some chocolate chai with oat milk you get free refills for your chai. Unfortunately, it isn't wheelchair accessible. There are stairs up into the restaurant and various small flights of stairs to get to different parts of the restaurant. Updated from previous review on 2024 03 25"
