"Recently stayed at Temple Sowerby and needed a nearby Skysports venue...The Board and Elbow was the choice and what a great choice it was... Gaz and his staff were excellent.. A very dog friendly pub with TV's scattered around the pub so they could show...different football matches at the same time.The food was excellent,my favourite was the steak&ale pie.. A good selection of beers and along with the food all was good value for money prices. Not only were the staff very friendly to us,our dogs received special treatment with a good supply of treats . So if you're in Penrith,looking for a great pub,this is the one for you.. Thanks Gaz and all your staff..Brilliant..."

very nice eating bar staff local people were kindly made they feel welcome would recommend to anyone who visits the opposite. also the renter malcolm beautiful kerl met many interesting stories about the local history and his son of leeds.

Great value food and service. 3 colleagues all ate here regularly. Choice of smaller plates around £6or very big mains for £9-12. Soup lovely. Ribs and chicken combo a huge winner. Lasagne also recommended. Multi tv screens for different footy too.

hidden gem! we almost looked this place! but we're so glad we came in. that's a big statement, but that was the most beautiful Chinese food I've ever had! everything was so fresh! a clean I literally drive from a lottery only for this eat! really impressed!

As a group of tourist visiting this establishment we were treat very rudely upon arrival when the staff/locals heard our accent… they pushed us outside of the pub so we weren’t sat with regular customers… I would not recommend visiting this place if you aren’t...from around this particular area.

My husband and I Visited this afternoon with our baby and sat outside in the spring sunshine. My husband and I both had veggie burger and chips. We were pleased with our meal which was tasty and priced about right. Service was quick and friendly...and the drinks were cold. What more can you ask for! Nice work “the board”.

Visited this pub for a bite to eat and found it very spacious,clean and welcoming . We ordered the jacket potatoes and to say they were a good size is an understatement. Beautifully cooked with lovely toppings and side salad with coleslaw. Well worth the...money and the service was excellent. Will definitely be going back whilst on holiday.

we came as a group of 6 we are on holiday from the bottom to the south there was a warm welcome and they managed to put it together. eating was absolutely the best we cost and very reasonable in the price, we all...where we lived in the opposite way, as we would be for many beautiful meals. the staff was very friendly and made us very warm thanks for a nice visit.
