Dropped in for a late Sunday lunch. Friendly and welcoming service. Fantastic roast beef and the rest of the family enjoyed their burgers and chicken burger. Lovely pub and great staff.

I am pleased that we made a reservation at this restaurant. We went for lunch to celebrate Mother's Day. The food was excellent and the portions were a good size. Another factor that influenced our decision to book here was that they are dog friendly.

We were passing thought we would pop in for Sunday lunch. We hadn’t booked but there was a table for two available. We both had roast beef which was delicious. The staff were friendly and efficient. Cheesecake for dessert which was very nice we will definitely back again

We spontaneously stopped by to grab lunch and were greeted by a very friendly bartender who took care of us. The steak and ale pie was a generous portion and was made with tender beef and delicious gravy. The beef burger was also quite tasty. Overall, it was a very pleasant experience at this cozy pub.

Pleasant place to stay for one night afer attending Bath Racecourse. Bar staff were a little aloof and could be friendlier but service was good. Food menu is a little lacking invention but the burger was OK. Breakfast in the morning had a very friendly server and the full English was substantial and satisfying. Overall, a good place to stay outside the city.

We stayed for two nights in a superior room overlooking the courtyard and absolutely loved it. The room was very clean and comfortable, and we particularly enjoyed the great breakfast served each morning. We also had a delicious evening meal at the restaurant, with very tasty food. The staff were all very friendly and made our visit even more enjoyable. We had a wonderful time and hope to return in the future.

Very disappointed for the price. A small slice of beef and ale pie I was expecting an individual one, spoonful of mixed veg, the dessert price of £7.50 was overly ambitious. Mitch match of worn tables and chairs. The ladies toilet needed a real deep clean very unhygienic. Also there was a board by our table stating that service charge was NOT ADDED added to the bill, This is begging for tips and totally unacceptable. Will not be returning.

Fantastic location Sadly rooms 9 and 10 you have to walk past the men’s toilets and smell public toilet/ **** smell to get to your room… Then as these rooms are above the toilets you can hear the public using the hand dryers throughout the night when in the room! Rooms 1-8 looked like to be outside the pub is a seperate area and looked much more desirable location Food was great, drinks was great, staff weere great! Just the location of the room really put a damper on the place!
