The Black Swan - Carte

I have been driving past this pub for a year or so now and haven’t been in and genuinely wish I had visited sooner. Lovely atmosphere, great food, service and amazing outside area (especially for the little ones). Perfect place to celebrate my dads birthday

My partner and I live near the Black Swan restaurant, and we have dined here several times recently. We have always been impressed with the food and service. The restaurant is spacious with plenty of seating and activities, making it a great choice for families as well. We highly recommend it.

service was brittle, eating moderate, burger all 3 of them two chip shop and a tandoori. tandoori burger was very dry, chip shop burger very greasy. the potato scallop and thorn bhaji is just a gimmick and is quite pointless. the buns naturally frozen, then defroze. in the microwave. chips were good, crispy and hot. The restaurant has a pleasant atmosphere with friendly staff. However, the food was not impressive. I ordered a steak cooked medium to well, but it was closer to medium rare with a lot of blood. This immediately put me off. I also found the prices to be on the higher side for the quality of food we received. Overall, I wouldn't be in a hurry to return.

We recently stayed over for my sister-in-law's 75th birthday and had a delicious meal at the restaurant. I ordered fish and chips with mushy peas and a chocolate orange dessert. The breakfast was amazing, with a variety of cereals, fruits, croissants, and jams available on our floor in case we got hungry. The room was perfect, although it did get a bit too warm at night. The staff were all very pleasant, friendly, and helpful. We hope to visit again soon.

was here a few times, the service atmosphere is getting bad. About 7 employees, including manager, were standing at the reception, while our waitress has always forgotten to bring the things for the children. eating is nothing special and definitiw too expensive. I went past several employees when they go back, including manager, and not one person said look back. they are the little things they want to return to a business, this is somewhere I am not in a hurry to visit again. as shameful as it is very local to me, but I would rather go on to somewhere with better service a welcome atmosphere Voir le carte

This was my first visit to the Black Swan after being told by previous colleagues this was a very good place to stay and eat pre-lockdown l, however my experience was very disappointing not only the food was below average and dry, but one of...the waitresses was very rude and disrespectful and told me to ‘shut up’ and she will take the order, after trying to help get the orders off my colleagues, following her comment the atmosphere was very tense and mood changed immediately, the food that came out of the kitchen was very dry and not to the standard you’d expect. visited on 12/6/22 with my partner for dinner. when the waitress brought the food on our table, the waitress knocked my full glass of red wine. fortunately, I was able to catch the glass in the time that only maybe 1/3 of them spilled over the table. my dress and legs. I can accept this, as accidents happen and no harm was caused. but I was appalled not to receive an apology, she didn't even look worried that I was covered with wine. we had to ask them for something to clean up the table and my dress and were considered as an inconvenience for it. she put down the teller (in the wee went down and returned with about three serviettes, threw them on the table and left them again without apolog...

Me and my partner have been to The Black Swan several times now and each time I hope it's going to improve but sadly it never does. We went for breakfast there this weekend and considering we were the only people in the whole pub...the food still came out barely lukewarm so it had clearly been sitting out under a heatlamp I assume. The lady who served us seemed nice enough but another person came in halfway through our visit and was stood in the reception area talking to her and the miserable bloke who I assume is the manager, meaning nobody came out to give us the bill so we had to go to reception to pay.
