"We chose Ruth Denzey's "The Bistro" for our high tea this month because we loved the concept of an afternoon tea and Ruth was the only one of our recommended suppliers that offered it. We enjoyed the relaxed and informative atmosphere of the afternoon. We were initially concerned about accommodating my vegan dietary restrictions and two gluten-free guests, but Ruth successfully met this challenge. Everything ran smoothly and efficiently, and Ruth was warm and down-to-earth during the tasting. The food on the day of the high tea was amazing and even the children's boxes matched our color scheme. Ruth managed everything seamlessly, even with a late ceremony, allowing us to relax and enjoy the food. We received many compliments on the wonderful experience. Thank you, Ruth, for a fantastic high tea experience. I highly recommend "The Bistro," Ruth, and the afternoon tea. Delicious!"

Been here a couple of times now. It’s a proper sun trap in the right day and the food is simple, but very tasty.

I have been wanting to visit this restaurant for quite some time. Finally stopped by for brunch today. The menu was filled with tantalizing options, making it difficult to choose. The service was excellent and the brunch was both fresh and delicious. I will definitely be returning and will be recommending it to my friends as well.

I had a lovely experience at this restaurant. It was beautifully decorated and cozy. I attended a baby shower and enjoyed afternoon tea. After a disappointing experience with a vegan cream tea at a pricey hotel, I didn't have high expectations here. However, I was pleasantly surprised by the delicious sandwich fillings, lovely atmosphere, and incredible vegan chocolate cake. I will definitely be coming back.

I stumbled upon this restaurant after a long walk with my dogs and what a fantastic discovery it was! We stopped in for coffee and ended up enjoying some truly amazing food. The Avocado, Brie, and Bacon on Ciabatta was delicious, and the Salt Beef on Sourdough was out of this world. The service was excellent, they even offered water for our dogs. Everyone left happy and we will definitely be returning in the future!

Yesterday, my group of four had a fantastic afternoon tea experience at this restaurant thanks to a Groupon deal. The staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating, going above and beyond to make our visit enjoyable. The food was delicious, especially the gluten-free options they prepared for me, including sandwiches, pancakes, a meringue nest, and a delectable chocolate brownie. I will definitely be returning for lunch soon, as the menu looks incredible. Highly recommend this place!

Wow, what a gem! I came for lunch today and it was absolutely delicious. My friend and I ordered the corn and zucchini salad with halloumi and a side of fries. The restaurant had a great atmosphere and style, although the menu was a bit on the pricier side. If I had to find something to criticize, I would say that the outdoor seating could use some fancy umbrellas to protect from the unpredictable English weather. We would have preferred to dine in the beautiful courtyard, but were forced inside due to a passing shower. That was a minor inconvenience and wouldn't deter us from coming back.

"I have to say since having my baby, I’ve been here twice, and it’s the most unwelcoming place I’ve felt being a Mum. The first experience, I had to change my baby on the floor of the toilets as there are no baby changing facilities available. (A mat you can place on the floor is kindly leant against the wall of the ladies toilets. That’s the extent of it . When booking with a high chair, there is no mention that there is no designated baby changing facilities. The second time I came I just didn’t bother trying, as I was advised that a table can be moved into the ladies loo if I don’t want to change her on the floor. We were kindly given a high chair as requested. However the type of high chair provided, my daughter is just ever so slightly still too small for (she is 13 months-the straps just don’t hold her in enough, not a fault of the pub, just a generic high chair that we aren’t quite ready for, in some places we’ve been the straps have been secure enough but sadly this one was not . So I decided to get my pushchair in and use that for her to sit and eat in so she’s safely secure. When it came to the attention of the staff that I was going to get the push chair, I have to say I have never been made to feel more of an inconvenience than I was today. Since having my child. I was met with comments “you’re going to get your push chair!?” Like it was a travesty. And then met with an enormous amount of comments, looks and whispers and fussing around me, about how this was going to take up too much room, we’d inconvenience other guests (may I add no one came to sit at the table we were next to at the time for the entirety of our stay!? , there was ample room for someone to sit and not be anywhere near the pram. But instead we had to take all our things and move…right in the doorway!? Where the pram was then right in the way of everyone coming in and out or passing to the main restaurant. I have never been treated so poorly in any establishment since becoming a Mum. It’s played on my mind all day and quite frankly I feel humiliated. I wish I’d known this before coming and I won’t be going again, and I want to as a Mum, let other Mums know. And give the restaurant a chance to accept my feedback and maybe make small changes to be more welcoming to mums with small children. There was another family with a baby in a pram across the way, I don’t think they received the same treatment, but I would stress this is not a baby friendly restaurant at all at the moment. My advice as a mother, is if someone calls to advise of a baby on the booking, advice them that there are no baby facilities, even if you have plans to add it in, it’s not there now and changing a baby on the floor is not acceptable or sanitary, bringing in a table without relevant safety features is equally not acceptable. In addition, be aware that some people may be bringing a pram as well as the need for a high chair. Every mother has a different scenario they bring when going out with their children."
