"Recently, I celebrated my uncle's 50th birthday at The Bieldside Inn. The restaurant offered a festive atmosphere and high-quality food, but the experience was marred by significant service issues. The ambiance was lovely, with festive decorations creating a celebratory mood. However, the service disappointed from the start. Despite making changes to our reservation for 10 people, we were initially seated at a table set for eight. After expressing our concern, we were asked to wait in the bar area. When we began ordering drinks, we were abruptly informed that our table was ready, forcing us to move back to the restaurant immediately. This interruption disrupted the flow of our evening. Once seated and the meal began, the food was of excellent quality, and the service improved in terms of speed. However, our celebration was cut short when we were told the table was needed back in 40 minutes, a detail that was not communicated initially. Although a complimentary bottle of wine was offered, it felt inadequate for our group of 10. The suggestion to move to the bar area was impractical. The manager, who supposedly provided the wine, did not offer any apology for the mix-up. We were left feeling neglected in a small corner of the bar. Despite the restaurant's upscale ambiance and food quality, the subpar service and lack of apology for the booking error left us disappointed. The rushed conclusion of our evening prevented us from fully enjoying the celebration of my uncle's milestone birthday. It's unfortunate that service issues tarnished what could have been a wonderful experience."

great service and eating was amazing. the place is cozy, updated and really beautiful. the set menu is so affordable. I'll be here a few times and come back. very recommended for lunch.

Excellent food and service. Very child friendly and for family. Ample parking space at the back of the restaurant as well as off street parking on North Dee Side Road. A good pub to hang around and watch some games on tele. Voir le carte

Absolutely delicious meal, we didn’t have a booking but we were seated at a great table. We had two starters and two mains. All staff were very attentive. Food arrived quickly and was amazing. Would recommend! We were just passing through Aberdeen and decided to pop in

a wonderful posh pub grub-inspired dinner. the Scotch egg starter was incredibly rich and oh so tasty, while my duck main was just amazing. the Rind-Chali-Tacos were very delicious, like the perfectly cooked steak. it was also incredibly busy on the Friday we visited so I was glad that we could book a table! delicious eating in a cozy atmosphere.

more stylish place with spacious and comfortable bar and adjacent restaurant with well spaced private tables. always a pleasure to see a simple menu. eating was timely and well presented. it was good, but the bisque in the cod special was somewhat bitter and overpowered, although the fish themselves and langustin were very good. very nice appetizers too. fairer value and well prepared cocktails and good total service. We celebrated a birthday with our family in a private room at the restaurant. The staff were attentive and accommodated all of us, providing great service with smiles. The food was delicious, but the portion sizes were large which resulted in some waste. Despite this, the meals were tasty and well-prepared. We plan on returning in the future. It would have been nice to have smaller plate options, as many of us would have preferred smaller portions. The menu selection was excellent as well. Thank you to the staff at The Bielder for a wonderful experience.

The Bieldside used to be hit or miss and average in the past, but since our last visit, the restaurant has new ownership and it shows! It feels like a completely different place now. The staff are friendly, polite, and attentive, the service is quick, and the restaurant is well-managed. The food was incredible - I tried the beef pie (which they caution takes an extra 20 minutes, but it's worth it) and it was the best pie I've ever had. The homemade coleslaw with paprika was a tasty surprise. Overall, the food and service exceeded expectations. This was a fantastic experience and I look forward to returning.
