"Gurkha Village is a well-established restaurant located very close to Oxford. The staff is respectful and attentive to customers' needs, and the service time is efficient. The food, while not entirely traditional Nepali (which typically consists of Dhal lentils, Bhat rice, and Takari curried vegetables), is generally very good with generous portions. Most of the dishes were of good quality, although the Nan bread could be improved. I believe the management could consider adding new items to the menu and having daily specials displayed on a blackboard. Overall, Gurkha Village is one of the standout Indian restaurants in the Oxford area and is worth a visit. Thank you."

"This is a really nice lovely pub with lovely rooms . Outside is lovely but be aware rooms are all near the front so you will hear people chatting if you retire early . The food is great apart from one big big mistake they make special attention to proper chips on their menu !! They aren’t they are clearly frozen and although passable why why why would you ruin a beautiful meal especially the steaks without home made chips come on guys otherwise I would have gone 5 star through out that is just lazy."

"after a nice long walk around kirtlington we had a nice lunch. I had the vegetarian roast that was delicious and not think like most I veg roast and my higher half had a delicious wobbles bahji burger that could go one. the children's menu had many possibilities, the roasting looked good, but we gave in and they had 2 delicious pizzas! beautiful wine selection and they had alcohol-free beer on camp. the pub seemed to be family-run and everyone was very friendly! kid friendly, dog friendly and also I forgot to mention with food allergies helpful as both have my 2 allergies. and they have a gluten-free frit, which is also good for other allergies, obviously always to check, but it is a relief when looking for each chip."

"We went to this Pub on Sunday 24th Oct 2021 only after reading all the very good reports. Sadly our experience was not good ,to start with the table and seating was very uncomfortable having to perch on a small stool with no back for...over two hours is not my idea of comfort ,add to this the very long wait for the food to be delivered and when it finally arrives was definite not up to expectation created by previous reviews. I had Sea Base which was so dry it must have been in the freezer for months Others had the Sunday lunch which apparently the only decent item was the meat. Almost all the roast potatoes were returned so hard they could not bite through them Then add to the pain, the cost was equal to a five star hotel If you want comfort and a reasonable meal this Pub should definitely be avoided"
