The Beckford Inn - Carte

Food is seriously good but expensive. The real let down is the automatic 10pc service charge that we did not know about. Give people the choice. Most will pay. Feels underhand and unnecessary.

The staff at this restaurant provide exceptional care to both residents and patrons. The rooms are impeccably clean and incredibly comfortable. There is ample parking available and the food is fantastic.

From the moment we walked in until the moment we left, everything at this restaurant was excellent. The service, cozy fireplace, extensive drink menu, and delicious food were all top-notch. We will definitely be coming back. Voir le carte

Friendly welcome, well equipped and comfortable rooms with lots of nice extras including a beer or prosecco in the fridge, cafetiere with local coffee, nice teas, fresh milk and home made shortbread biscuits. Evening menu sounded superb though the kitchen's execution not quite as good as the description. Would stay again.

We had Sunday lunch at the Beckford inn on the way home from a weekend away. We had beef my husband and stuffed belly pork myself and I can honestly say it was probably the best Sunday dinner we have ever had. Everything was perfectly cooked from the thick slices of rare beef to the crispy golden gigantic Yorkshire puddings. What a lovely place we highly recommend a visit.

We want to express our gratitude to Pedro and Barry for warmly welcoming us, along with our dog Pete, to The Beckford Inn. We spent 2 nights there to ring in the New Year, and were extremely pleased with the food, room cleanliness, and overall standard of the accommodation. The freshly cooked food was of an exceptional quality, using high-quality ingredients. The staff were all very friendly and dedicated. Visited this Inn for lunch, lovely warm room with log fires. Very pleasant well trained staff. Chose small Haddock and chips. Served well presented, with linen full napkins, not your usual paper ones. The fish was superb and the chips nice and chunky. We had been in Whitby in Yorkshire only 6 weeks ago and had fish and chips which was expensive and cooked raw, this was 10 times better. The entire interior was well laid out, immaculately clean and classy. All the staff were switched on and made our short stay a very enjoyable experience. WE WILL RETURN. George Irvine.

We went as a family to celebrate my father’s 70th birthday with family. We had drinks in the bar as well as a meal. We waited ages I mean ages) for service,Pedro the meet greater that showed us to our room was short, non descriptive and unhelpful. The meals we ordered all had to be changed due to a booking of 50 in a function room Cheltenham race week) So we all had to order what was left! All we can say is sack the chef s) Food was ALL SALTY?? Like really salty and inedible, no one retook drinks orders , ice cream was stingy and 1 scoop not enough for an adult paying £6) Rooms were the noisiest due to people upstairs walking around at all hours 3-6am!! We stayed for one night with our 2 dachshunds. Lovely friendly welcome. Showed us to our room which was one of the cottages. Lovely clean room, and they had the radio playing for us which was a nice touch! Great selection of tea and coffee, and fridge drinks. Considering it is a dog friendly room, there was no dog hair or signs of pets being allowed in the rooms it was that immaculate! We had dinner and breakfast with our stay. Our dogs are quite reactive, however Pedro was amazing with them both! He paid them just as much attention as us bringing around all sorts of biscuits for them to try. We couldn’t fault Pedro.
