"Six of us visited on Saturday evening after a day at the Malvern Showground. As this lovely restaurant is only twenty minutes drive, it is ideally situated for revitalising sustenance after you've walked your legs off! My husband and I have eaten here once before...and recommended it to our friends, hoping that the experience would be as superb as the first time. No-one was disappointed . The mains we chose were beer battered fish (haddock) and chips, chicken balti, sticky chilli beef and cajun chicken wrap. All of the meals were completely delicious and cooked to perfection. For dessert we had sticky toffee pudding, lemon curd pavlova and ice cream. The chef makes the ice cream, which comes in a selection of flavours (all of the men chose banana and said it was scrumptious) and also makes the lemon curd which is bursting with tangy flavour providing the perfect foil to the meringue and cream. Six starters, six mains and twelve drinks came to just over £140 which is excellent value for money for such gorgeous food. Service was super-efficient, smiley with a dollop of wit thrown in for good measure. This is top notch food and customer service worthy of more than five stars. I only wished we lived nearer. The folks who have this restaurant close by don't know how lucky they are! Thank you to everyone at The Bear."

as a group of four we visited the opposite to walk and see, we ate on Thursday night and loved it so much we went back for another meal on Friday. eating was good, like the beer, but crawling like. that really stands out because of the attitude of the hostess. we were greeted with a smile and with ease and nothing was too much annoyed. we would recommend a visit in this beautiful pub.

I booked a private room for dinner for 20 people aged 2-95 for a birthday celebration. Lynda was extremely helpful in providing a good menu choice and accommodating a few changes along the way. Nothing was too much trouble, prices very reasonable especially considering...the enormous portions we all had and the food was excellent. I most definitely recommend this lovely traditional pub.

We held a family funeral wake at the Bear. Lynda had suggested we had individual buffet boxes so that people felt more comfortable than with a traditional buffet This was an excellent choice the food and portion sizes were brilliant and we were all...able to make use of the lovely garden to chat and share memories. Lynda and the team were so kind and helpful nothing was too much trouble. Thank you.

Visited as a family. The food is home cooked but isn’t anything special, filling and good portions but fairly middle of the road as pub food goes. What makes it a 4 instead of a 3 are the lovely people working there genuine, friendly,...attentive. They made the visit far better. Potential to be good, the location and concept of home cooked food in a nice homely setting is great, just needs a bit of finesse with the food and it would be awesome!

We are staying in Malvern and were just passing and looking for somewhere to have Sunday Lunch. We were so glad to have spotted the sign on the main road or we would have missed this! Absolutely outstanding meal they promised homemade and it was....This was a quality meal, perfect for every course. It's a proper traditional pub the owners and team made us and our dog very welcome. We would call again in the next few but you're closed! We are not local but I am sure we will make an excuse to visit again soon

It's been a while since I last visited (great experience last time too) But decided to go in today as we were near serving food throughout the afternoon bonus! The pub itself is absolutely gorgeous with all the real traditional pub vibes...which I love. The garden is absolutely gorgeous, dog friendly and a peaceful place to sit and relax. The menu is great, varied with lots of popular meals, our food was perfect and really great portions. Service was excellent, calm friendly and welcoming. We certainly will be coming more often! Thank you to all The Bear Team

my wife and I took my parents here yesterday, as we were recommended by friends. what a wonderful building and a good location for a local pub! it was a quiet Friday night with just a few regular in and during the facility. is perhaps something dated it adds the charm and warmth of the place. the food is freshly cooked to order and very tasty, the beer selection was good and very pleasant. but what made the evening so special was the incredible service everyone here works. they are so friendly and helpful that we are simply made feel completely well maintained and welcome. we felt like the only people there because of the attentive customer orientation. well made to all in bear, we will cert...
