"we ate on Sunday afternoon on the last weekend and the quality and quantity of food was as always excellent. despite quite completeness, the service remains timely and polite. it is so beautiful that when ordering water, this is served with ice and lemon, and not with the frit they get so often in other facilities. Really lovely meal ,atmosphere was really good we spent nearly 4hours just eating ,talking and enjoying the friendly staff. We will deffinity be meeting our friends there again.

we have often gone to lunch in the axe and compasses, or for a little good midweek dinner. we are always warmly welcomed and well fed, and so it was the obvious choice for our Christmas dinner this year. eating was great, service organized brilliant and rushed, and as always the atmosphere was fantastic. cannot thank the entire team enough for a fantastic afternoon.
