This our local pub, but it is a great pub with good food and excellent service and environment. We come here a lot and are never disappointed.

Great beers great food , attentive staff. Excellent value for money . Riverside seating on a gorgeous summer day. What more could you ask for !

What a joy to have proper home made food with lots of fresh vegetables. The portions are amazing , I’m sure no one would leave feeling hungry! The staff are all very friendly and helpful , definitely recommend, the prices also reasonable, will be returning Voir le carte

Perfect pints poured by the lovely Emily. She gave us a taste of Nectaron first and it was at least as satisfying as the walk we had just done from Bamford to Ladybower reservoir. Which we loved! Apparently, 4 horrible guests left just before us but everybody here looks well pleased with their food and beverages) So...

We were booked in for under the name of green but arrived early? But nothing was too much for the staff as our table was reserved, we were shown to our table,offered drinks the menu in a lovely old world country pub. We chose the courses for pounds off the over menu there were good courses sweets. We had plaice fillets and a steak pie, all piping hot, big portions and all homemade plus lemon cheesecake with ice cream. We were all full and the drinks were reasonably priced. All in all a very good pub lunch and the staff did their best in a very busy and popular pub. Well done to everyone,we will be back. Thanks to all the staff. Roger,Yvonne and colin.

Came half way through a lovely walk in Chee Dale. The walk took slightly longer than I expected so I rang ahead saying we'd be a little late and the staff were very understanding. Turned up to the nice cosy hikers bar where our reserved table was, which welcomed dogs and boots (a good job as we had both! , and we all had lovely meals Two veggie lasagnas, one with chips and two with garlic bread, and one meat lasagna with garlic bread, and one steak and kidney pudding with mash lots of veg. All really good hearty pub grub! We were tempted by the puddings too, and had apple pie with custard, ginger sponge with custard, and honeycomb cheesecake with cream.
