"I had the old steakburger with chips and coleslaw. the chips were so fluffy. it was all very delicious. for dessert I had sticky toffee and date pudding with tinted cream and toffee sauce. it was soouou good! would definitely recommend for eating alone, but adding to the friendly staff, clean facilities and homely feel makes it impossible not to recommend. Thank you."

Excellent food, great service, lovely outside terrace and modern refurbished bedrooms only stayed one night as travelling round, but would highly recommend nothing not to like

Living in South Devon, we were able to take advantage of some glorious weather to travel to the north of the county at short notice. our stay at the Anchor was all we could have wished for, clean room, overlooking some countryside, Sensibly priced accommodation, food and drink. a pleasant patio to enjoy our drink and food in the sun. Friendly staff and ample parking.
