"we have booked a table for lunch on the way to home from the northeast. the byland abbey inn was over the ruins of byland abbey. we had great prospects and watch how people wander around the monument. we were served by the friendly staff. they took our job before we pick up a table on the window. there were many tables and loose on the menu to choose from! eating came quite fast and was fresh and hot! they were also dog-friendly! many pooches came with their owners to get hydration and protection from the strong winds! the pub seemed very popular with walkers. many parking spaces on the back!"

Well worth a visit if you are in the area. The scale of the place is impressive and it's free! It was very quiet when I visited.

do not go or even try to book them here. the byland abtei has closed and the observations about the doors. unfortunately, the courtmates also have. Previously it was a nice place.

the spatialities have been left for more than a month in the hands of a courtmate who is out of space. the open table has been recommended for this, but they continue to take the booking for this event location. criminal.

Despite confirmation of booking, when we arrived the establishment was closed due to visit by the bailiffs 3 days prior( before booking confirmation). Still trying to sort out things with Groupon company as it was a gift deal. Voir le carte

Wow! What an amazing place for a wedding ceremony! I recently led a wedding ceremony here and it was an incredible setting for it. The abbey was beautifully decorated with simple chairs, an arch and rose petals it didn't need much to make it look incredible. Afterwards we had drinks in the cloisters, another dream setting.

just 10 km from his illustrious neighbour rievaulx, this is another ruined abtei, which is supervised by English inherited. there is a small parking space and a pub near and a museum in front of location, although this was the day I was not open. this rui is worth a visit, the ruins are considerable and will take a while to go around. this should be better known

free to enter and explore a bit. there are information boards and they can get a manual from other English cultural heritage sites or there website. there is a museum, but never seen it open. small parking space so best to see early or late in the day. there is a pub at the corner that makes eating, but no toilets on the abbey site. could be difficult for wheelchairs Voir le carte

it wasn't planned to visit, but they went by and stopped investigating. what a beautiful place dogs were allowed so that we had a good walk and enjoyed the exhibition. it was an amazing place to think that it was henry viii who brought his ruins was amazing. there were not many visitors when we were there and it was peaceful and quiet. a great place to imagine pastness.

Great bit of history... standing in the grounds you can feel what must of been a great and grand building in its day... wouldn't recommend wheelchairs till its warmer weather and the ground as dried out... small car park... opposite is a tea room for refreshments... no toilets if tea rooms are closed... which could be a problem for some people... ps A 10 minute drive from the Abbey brings you to the Kilburn White horse..

"The problem began with our arrival. We are 3 adults in our mid-60s and we had already climbed one set of steps to access the bar in the pub. We were escorted to our room up two more flights of narrow stairs. On entering our room, we could smell the damp in the room and discovered mould on walls behind furniture and in the corners of the window frames. We checked the prices of the evening meals on offer and there wasn't enough variety for our party and they were quite expensive. So we decided to eat out. I asked what time the pub closed and was told, when the last customer leaves. I thought that was a bit vague so I said that we would be back at 10-ish. We arrived back just after 10pm to find all entrances to the pub were fully locked up and we were unable to get in. I called the pub and, after a while, my call went to voicemail with a message that there was no one to answer my call. I left a voicemail, this was followed by another message to say that there was no one to respond to my voicemail! My party had got back into the car as it was raining and I drove to the front of the pub and sounded my horn for some time then drove to the back of the pub. At this point, a man appeared saying he had a message to come and let us in so, finally, we got in to the pub to access our room. We had an uncomfortable night but managed to get up for the early breakfast (great breakfast! and check-out. We raised all the damp and mould issues with the man who had let us in and, as one of us was asthmatic, told him that we would be leaving a poor review of the room and that they shouldn't book that room out to any one else until the issues were resolved."
