"Details on why 2 stars. We (there were 4 of us) found the food rather poor to be honest. The minced chicken salad was the worst, it was cooked chicken mince with iceberg lettuce. The ribs (again our opinion) were bland and without flavour, the coconut rice had no coconut taste to it and the jungle curry was too watery/thin in texture (akin to a soup). The Pad Thai was very nice. Overall I gave an honest review of the meal. I do review with honesty if you look at some of my other reviews. NB I 've eaten Thai food in about 5 other Thai restaurants and found most of them pretty good to be honest. I am familiar with Thai food and flavours to leave a review. A Thai green curry is one of the finest in the world in my opinion. Maybe it was a 'bad night '. Food: 2 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 3"

The food was excellent, but I waited almost an hour for a straightforward dish, and the restaurant wasn't even busy. I won't be returning. Food: 5, Service: 1, Atmosphere: 1. Voir le carte

I can't say enough good things about this restaurant. My wife and I visited on a recent night without a reservation and were seated right away. The service was excellent, the menu had great options, and the food was perfectly prepared. I highly recommend this place—it was our first meal here, but it definitely won't be our last!

Visited this place tonight on a whim having googled local thai restaurants and a rare weekend kid free. The food is INCREDIBLE, we had thai green curry and a pandang curry with king prawn, sharing platter for starters. Genuinely amazing food, reasonably priced and we will be back our new fav restaurant in the north west. Thanks. "After being recommended vigour by an friend, I popped in for lunch. On arrival, I was greeted by a friendly staff member who made me feel welcome. Going through the extensive menu full of delicious delights and delicacies, I opted for shredded pork tortillas and pork bao bao for starters, and steak (medium rare and eggs (soft poached. For mains with a refreshing cola with ice, and a creamy coffee for after. The atmosphere in there is really quite nice. The rustic vibe, of exposed bricks, rot iron fixtures and neon signs gave it plenty of character. While the ability to see into the kitchen gave you a good sense of connection to where the action truly takes place. Their shredded pork tortillas came as a trio with a lovely dip. Being a starter, they were small but flavorful. The bao bao which i can only describe as tortillas but in a softer and thicker wrap with a slightly sweet note to them were lovely, and made for a pleasant new experience. They were quite accommodating when I asked for peppercorn sauce for my steak, and managed to do a flat ironed steak to perfect medium rare. With creamy yolk gently glazing it, every mouthful was a joy. I will also note their coffee was particularly creamy and frothy which I really liked. Now, the one potential down side for some is the prices. While the food I had was lovely, and I don't at all regret going. I will say it's not somewhere you go to eat on a tight budget. You pay for the atmosphere, and the food quality is above many typical cookie cutter restaurants. My meal came to just over £34 drinks included, and while I can't make it a regular, I surely will be making it a spot my son and I go to treat ourselves. I will say that if I had my son with me at the time, I could have split the starters and just added chips to the mains to feed both of us quite happily for not much more. Should you be in a position to go regularly, take advantage of their loyalty scheme and get some tasty perks."

"I had high hopes for this restaurant based on the reviews but Unfortunately I can’t say I very much enjoyed my first and potentially last trip to Sabroso. Firstly let me say that we got the food as a takeaway. Now, I’m not a big fan of writing bad reviews. I would rather write a review praising the establishment to allow others to try as we have. However, we were mislead by the reviews and feel that maybe we caught them on a bad day. Nevertheless we had a bad experience. We started with some soft chicken tacos which *spoiler alert* were the best thing that we tried. The flavour was great. The meat quantity was perfect. A great little starter if you’re willing to share. I was getting really excited at this point. However, it’s a slow decline from here. The fried jalapeños were not great. Felt and tasted manufactured if I’m quite honest and with the chilli dip to go with it, which was most certainly ‘crucials extra hot chilli sauce’ that you get in most takeaways these days, I was feeling slightly let down. You would think a Mexican/ tex mex restaurant would at least make a good chilli sauce. For the main, I had a Beef Chilli burrito, which I asked to be made a little spicier, and it Was flavourless. Mainly tasted like cheese and was packed with rice, which I understand that’s what a burrito should be But there was barely any meat/ chilli. I was thinking if my chicken tacos were that tasty I can’t wait for the burrito but it was bland. No flavour to the Mexican rice and there wasn’t any spice to be found. I was very disappointed to say the least. The missus had chicken enchiladas and had this to say: large portion with a substantial amount of chicken but could only really taste tomatoes. Too saucy and rather flavourless. The onion rings and sweet potato fries tasted like they came from a packet. Overall a solid 2 out of 5. I had high hopes from the reviews but it really wasn’t much to shout about. Nothing really Mexican in sight except the tacos. Do not let our review stop you from trying the food for yourselves and maybe you’ll have a better experience If you eat in the restaurant rather than a takeaway. Enjoy yourselves. Nick and Becky."
