Thai Grand - Carte

We have been regulars at this Thai restaurant for a long time. The food is always delicious and the service is friendly. We will definitely be returning again.

Have eaten in and have had a takeaway. Have to see the food is excellent and good value for money. Really want to support local businesses in this difficult times.

Su Wat De. hello) We have been going to this establishment for a couple of years now and have never been disappointed. We have tried many of the dishes on offer. my favourite is duck in noodles. ah roy mak. that was delicious) The staff are always friendly and helpful with food advice. We shall keep going. We have visited Thai grand many times before and the food doesn’t disappoint. The atmosphere in there is lovely too. My only criticism was the table service wasn’t as good this time as it used to be. Eg I was still eating my starter as plates were being cleared from the table. Also all of the starters arrived at different times so everyone had finished theirs by the time mine arrived. It was fine and didn’t spoil anything. The food and place are lovely and well worth a visit if you love Thai food! Also good for gluten free.

I had a take away Thai green chicken curry with coconut rice, the prices appear to have gone up to what I would consider expensive the curry was around 9 pounds and the rice around 3.50 pounds, the chicken was tough and now has the cheaper noodles in of which I am not a fan, the rice was more like wall paper paste, thought it was a one off but no when I tried again three weeks later no better, I used to consider this place a treat but now I can make a better meal myself with accompanied supermarket coconut rice. When I complained they gave me a free meal.

We used to frequent Thai Grande and its predecessor, Thai House in Loughborough, as regular customers. It was a wonderful family-owned restaurant where we would celebrate special occasions and always have a great time. Unfortunately, on our most recent visit, we were quite disappointed. Although the service was good, the food was subpar compared to our previous experiences. The abundance of fake flowers and strips of wallpaper held up with tape detracted from the overall ambiance. We cannot recommend this restaurant anymore as it seems the new owners have lowered the quality of the dining experience. Voir le carte

I visited a restaurant with a table reservation, but people who walked in without a booking were seated before us. We had to wait for a table and were placed at the back of the restaurant. The floor was dirty with dropped food, cutlery, and napkins. The starter we ordered was mediocre at best, and we were informed that they were out of the steak I wanted for my main course. We decided to just have the starter and drinks due to the slow service and noisy atmosphere. The restaurant lacked nice music and was decorated with unattractive fake flowers. The only positive aspect was the friendly staff. I do not recommend this place.

The service was good. The one waiter was friendly. The food however was not right. I had the Tom Yam soup which was fine but my main chicken Pad Kaprow was awful. The chicken felt so stringy and raw. It was exackty the same for my wife who had a chicken and ginger dish. We only are the sides because we had no time to reorder. When we complained we were told this was fresh chicken and was not undercooked. Basically the waiter did not want to know. We should have not paid and walked but being reasonable we just paid the bill and left. I would advise people against this restaurant as I believe it doesn’t hit the standard at all.

We've eaten here several times before and found the food to be fresh, authentic and tasty. Visited today and surprised we were the only customers. Food came quickly but was very poor. Chicken dish with oyster sauce was cold and clearly not freshly cooked. Informed waiter who said he would heat it up.....no offer of cooking it fresh. Pad Thai with seafood lacked seafood and was overcooked and mushy. The prawn dish with black pepper was covered in large pieces of crushed black pepper to the extreme making it inedible. Thai green curry had a sweet flavour to it and lacked the firey punch it should have. Now I understand why the place was empty. Poor quality, cold reheated food. People vote with... Voir le carte
