Went with some friends during the week. Small place we were a few and we had to sit at the only table that was big enough, though it was near the counter. Starters (seafood crudités and steamed fish) were great, but we weRen't enthusiastic of the pasta. Staff was friendly and nice. Overall a good experience

scelto per caso e in modo improvvisato, siamo stati piacevolmente sorpresi dalla cura e dalla passione con cui i piatti sono preparati, presentati e serviti. piatti veramente di alta qualità, che fanno una certa saggezza e coscienza di come trattare il pesce. merita un po' più di visibilità. molto apprezzato.

Dal esterno, e data la sua location, non avevamo grande aspettative ma interno curato. Piccolo locale gestito in modo eccezionale. Servizio gentilissimo ed efficiente. Mangiato piatti di pesce cotto e crudo favolosi e curatissimi. Oltre che grande qualità di prodotto. Non possiamo valutare il prezzo perché ospiti. Il miglior pesce mangiato in Italia.

this very small, but cozy restaurant is within walking distance (10 minutes) from Mestre's main square. It is specialized in fish. I had cooked antipasti: very tasty and fritto misto. excellent and very copious with various small fishes, in the laguna veneta tradition, and vegetables. Other people had spaghetti alle vongole: very good, but with a bit too few vongole. Very good wine list.

Booked on a quiet Sunday night , and found this gem of a family restaurant . Freshest fish served inventively with great wine list the Soave Classico partnered the heavenly fresh scampi spaghetti in a rich, creamy, seafood stock sauce, followed by grilled sole then a chocolate dessert with strawberries all haven on a plate !, beautifully and attentively served, and cooked by a serious chef who spoke perfect English, and took the trouble to check all was OK A real find!!

Went there because of TripAdvisor Reviews. To get in you need to ring. Welcome was friendly, but English Language Skills nearly 0. No English Menue Card but ok. The Starter was very good cooked. The Fish Carpaccio of fresh Fish was really fresh but without any Herbs, Salt or Pepper. The Risotto very good. All in all the service is a big pity. No smile no nothing. Maybe to the Italian People, but not for Tourists. Not asked if we need something. To pay we had to go to the counter. All in All very expensive for this small amount of food and sitting space.

Avevo sentito molto bene questo piccolo ristorante, e devo dire che le mie aspettative sono state pienamente soddisfatte. qui il pesce è il top per qualità, freschezza e raffinatezza. Se amate il grezzo, sarete soddisfatti qui senza dubbio. Ho provato numerosi antipasti, quasi tutti crudi, da ostriche, a tartufi marini, scampi e gamberi rossi, moeche fritte con le castagne di sant'erasmo, tutte squisite e presentate al meglio. e che dire del primo, pasticcini con gallinella di mare, scampi, pomodori taggiasche olive e capperi: ogni gusto distinto è riconosciuto in bocca! Il dessert merita una menzione, delizioso! davvero bene, congratulazioni per l'eccellente qualità!

I have been at the Tavernetta with a friend because I read a lot of enthusiastic reviews and I wanted to have some raw fish and fried fish. We drunk a good Franciacorta and ordered some french oysters to start. They were simply great, specially the Gillardeau. After that we had some octopus with 'nduja which is a kind of spicy spreadable pork cold cut, typical from Calabria. A quite original combination but I have to admit they nailed it. After that we ordered a mixture of fried fish and I kindly requested if I could have some home-made mayonnaise with it.
