"So, the first problem was the booking (and the exact same thing had happened the previous time we arrived at this restaurant with an Open Table booking). I had made the booking online and received confirmation both via email and in the OT app, which I could show at the restaurant. When I made the booking very limited times were available: nothing between 11.45am and 2pm, so we assumed the restaurant would be crowded. When we arrived a little before our 2pm booking, it was three-quarters empty and they had no record of my booking. Since the place was largely empty this didn't matter, but on another occasion it might have done. And maybe one reason the place was so empty was that other potential customers had also seen no availability between 11.45am and 2pm, so Cote had no online bookings. Either Open Table or Cote need to sort out what is wrong with their booking systems as it seems that in Horsham at least the systems do not talk to each other. The food was fine, typical Cote just as you would expect, but the service was disappointing. In a largely empty restaurant one might expect efficient and attentive service but we got nothing of the sort. It was hard to get attention from any server and we had to request some items several times. Someone who from her dress was probably the duty manager, spent most of her time lounging or chatting with other staff members rather than making sure customers got good service."

"This is a beautiful traditional pub with a fantastic atmosphere and friendly staff who go above and beyond to ensure you enjoy your meal. The garden is lovely, offering plenty of entertainment for the kids, who especially loved the chickens and the chance to run around. We visited for a party weekend, and the food was fabulous! Two members of our group had the fry-up breakfast, while another enjoyed the salmon dinner, and we also tried the steak burger, all of which were delicious! It’s a great pub all around, and I highly recommend it. We will definitely be returning soon!"

"One of my favourite restaurants and definitely worth the short drive from Crawley. If you have not tried this restuarant I would highly recommend it. Lovely menu to suit all tastes. Freshly made pasta, pizza, steak, fish, roast dinners, lovely starters, beautiful home made deserts! I love to try new things and 10/10 blacksmith arms has a brilliant variety each week on the specials, ranging from tomahawk steak, whole seabass, pasta dishes, pizzas, fish mixed grill. I have only recently found a love for fish and thought I would try something new... the fish mixed grill. It was delicious. So much flavour and perfectly cooked. Served with lovely Fresh Vegetables and roast potatoes cooked to perfection. Very friendly, welcoming staff who cannot do enough for you. Large variety of wines, beers, cocktails and soft drinks. Beautiful coffee too . Lovely function room that can be hired to host a whole variety of different events. Definitely worth a visit! Highly recommended for any special occasion, random dinner out, or take away. They also deliver depending on location. Also dog friendly!"

"First off, the owner was incredibly rude to my wife and I, but I overlooked it as the restaurant was extremely busy. (Just saying though that manners don 't cost a thing). Service was unbearably slow, despite there being a lot of staff. The food was bland and my wife has had dozens of trips to the toilet despite us both being able to handle spicy food. How dare you control my bowels! Will not return. Food: 1"
