Staff were really lovely, service was great and fab food. Our family visit regularly with and without the children. Although the huge Lego blocks have been missed!! Would always recommend

This quaint pub restaurant is a hidden gem. We popped in for a drink and a bite to eat after exploring the North of England. Plenty of seating and parking available. The prices for the food and beer were reasonable for the area. A must-visit if you're in need of a meal.

Excellent service! Staff were lovely and attentive. Food was hot, bought out in good time and super tasty! Venue itself felt clean and welcoming. This was our first visit but certainly won’t be our last! Especially as it is pet friendly and we can bring our dogs with us. The water bowl and treat pots for the dogs were a lovely touch!

We enjoy the atmosphere in the Sugar Mill whether eating or just popping in for a drink. The place is clean and welcoming. The staff are friendly and accommodating. There is no long wait for your meal and the food is well presented and hot when it arrives at the table. Staff check regularly to see if you are satisfied with everything. We will continue eating there.

As usual, really friendly and professional staff in a great setting. The food was awesome but the only thing preventing a 5 star review is the fact that after initial order and delivery of food we had to hunt down a member of staff to order more drinks and dessert. Still really enjoyed the whole experience but felt the need to point out the lack of follow up table service

We attended the sugar mill this evening as it was my birthday. I must say we were very impressed with the food and service we received. Recommend the 8oz gammon steak with chips, cowboy burger, chicken tikka masala. Also the dessert of sherry trifle cheesecake and rocky road sundae. Our party of five thoroughly enjoyed it. Would highly recommended the sugar mill. Can’t wait to visit again.

Very friendly and efficient service. Food was brought to the table in a timely manner and was well presented and hot. All meals were enjoyed with no complaints. Table was clean and it was nice to see good condition menus placed on the table. One question please. Can you tell me if it is a corporate decision for staff not to wear a uniform? As a customer, personally I find it a benefit to easily identify members of staff. We had a nice evening thank you.

Delightful dining experience. The food was excellent and the service was fantastic. The restaurant is very welcoming to dogs, providing water, biscuits, and plenty of attention for our furry friend. We even ordered a sausage for our dog as a special treat, which she thoroughly enjoyed. We will certainly return to this restaurant and make it our go-to spot for an evening out. Everyone had a wonderful time, but our only suggestion is to add a dog-friendly menu.

The food at this restaurant is excellent. The staff is attentive and we were seated quickly. Our drinks order was taken promptly, followed by our food order. The wait for our food was short and the dishes were delicious, especially the fish and chips. The children also enjoyed their meals. Our dessert order was taken shortly after we finished our main course and the desserts were brought out promptly. Overall, another great dining experience at the Sugar Mill.
