"We are staying in a nearby city Harsefeld, and our hostess suggesting spending time seeing Buxtehude. The city is old world quaint, cobble stone sidewalks and walking streets with plazas filled with tables for enjoying the evening. My surprise was finding Abthaus, it was the...front of building that drew me to the sailor sitting on the bench. We walked in and were warmly greeted to outdoor seating on the patio in the back of the dining room. Our meal was just the finishing touch of sightseeing in Buxtehude. We ordered roast beef, perfectly prepared with salad and the most delicious potatoes and ordered filet of fried fish, tender and juicy with mashed potatoes. Our dessert was walnut ice cream with an amazing chocolate mousse cake. Thank you to chef, staff and our waitress."

"We were in Great Plains for the first time in May 2016, as my friend likes Steak. The restaurant itself is stylish and cosy. Since it is located directly at the station, the ambience is generally less beautiful. For every steak dish you can use the salad buffet, which is good and fresh. In addition, there are potato corners and pellet salads with sourcream, which have tasted very delicious. But the more disappointed we were from the steak. My friend chose a Rib Eye Steak. This was very well hit by the cooking point, but it tasted as if it had been frozen and refreshed and then had this typical fleshy taste. My turkey steak was also just ok, I've eaten better in many German houses. It was a bit tough and tasteful just not convincing. In addition, we would have liked additional steak pepper on the table. For a steakhouse therefore unfortunately not very recommended, but there is a delicious and good salad buffet (this can also be chosen individually, without steak)."

"Auf Grund der hier geschilderten hervorragenden Beurteilungen sind wir dort angemeldet an einem frühen Samstagabend erschienen.Der uns zugewiesene Tisch befand sich im Erdgeschoss zwischen Eingang und Garderobe .Oben,wo es wirklich netter aussieht waren keine 50% der Tische besetzt.Der Chef, der das komplette Restaurant bediente !!war sagen wir mal "Nordisch Kühl".Freundlich ,persönlich oder nett geht anders!! Das Essen war völlig ok,aber nicht in dieser Preisliga.Wir können nicht meckern aber uns gefiel es nicht so wie hier beschrieben wurde.Sorry, aber da kennen wir im HH Raum bessere Restaurants."

"We have eaten at hundreds of restaurants over the years. This restaurant offers good food at a fair price. The staff is friendly and accommodating, the menu offers a great variety, service is quick, restaurant is very clean and seating is attractive. They do not accept credit cards. I am only giving them 3 stars because on a cool July evening the restaurant was extremely warm. Most of our fellow customers were fanning themselves to cool off since this restaurant is not air conditioned. Probably better to visit when it is cold outside."
