"The restaurant offers delicious food at affordable prices. I ordered the steak with chips, mushrooms, egg, and a side salad, all of which were served in generous portions on a large plate. For dessert, I had the strawberry pavlova, which was excellent. This place is definitely worth a visit! The average cost per person is between £10 and £20. I would give the food and service a rating of 5 out of 5, and the atmosphere a 4 out of 5. I highly recommend trying the steak and chips."

"Had two very different meals here, 1st was a Sunday dinner roast beef Yorkshire pudding and all the trimmings absolutely delicious, next was through the week burger and chips with dressing and salad, absolutely brilliant I'd definitely recommend going, and the friendly staff couldn't do enough to help I notice this with being disabled, it's all on the flat, no steps absolutely brilliant"

"Clearly broken chair in the entrance to the establishment which made it look tatty, and the toilets were dirty, with visibly dirty toilet brush. The service was a bit bizarre, with very little order. Half orders brought and other bits forgotten about for several tables, a very long wait for our drinks, and one server kept getting very visibly stressed in front of customers. The staff seemed fraught with each other too. Maybe it’s not the norm, and it was busy, but it made it feel a bit strange. Food was good though, and would go again to eat but would suggest they move the broken furniture from the front porch and clean the loo, and monitor the level of service at busy times to make sure all staff are competent to manage. Price per person: £10–20 Food: 4 Service: 2 Atmosphere: 2"

"We booked in for Christmas Eve late lunch early tea booked in for the adult dining area to the right which we were seated in but lots of family’s in there kids running around it was very noisy,the food was delicious we had chicken goujons...to start followed by Lasagna,gammon Top brink burger the food was delicious,and the service was good,didn’t order puddings as the wild noisy children in there had drove us mad,parents letting there children run around,so we couldn’t wait to get out,last time we were there they told us that the adult dining area had gone for now due to covid but I mentioned when paying and the young lady said it was due to room for families? I understand it’s a family pub but these parents had no consideration for anyone else.Please bring the adult dining area back when it’s a table of adults only eating you don’t want to sit where kids are shouting screaming and running around."

"Meal cost £220 for 2, I do not generally complain because I don't like to make a scene and the waiting staff are not paid enough to put up with nonsense, that is what reviews are for. We were placed at a table basically in the front door when a table that was far more appealing was available all evening in the window, we were given a TEASPOON to consume our veloute. We ordered a nice pinot noir, we were not informed that this was not available and not given a choice for another, we were TOLD that our wine had been swapped because they didn't have the one we asked for and not asked if that was ok, just poured. The food was far from fine dining, the veloute tasted of nothing, the salad was a simple salad. The risotto was pleasant, fish course not well thought out, beans were bizarre. The main course chicken not seasoned at all, and then the worst of all the Venisson, over cooked, taste and texture of offal, the celeriac puree tasted of off apple sauce and the blackberry jus basically was Bovril and berry. My husband's chocolate dessert was served still frozen. In all not a great experience the restaurant itself was not comfortable, too many hard surfaces reverberating the sound of people's voices, terrible cover music being played, no coverings on the windows which were very steamy. This restaurant has marketing of being a fine dining experience but lacks any finesse in service and food."
