"it was shortly after visiting the filiale of stac polly on the st mary’s street that their dublin street filiale again as bistro and gin bar. I wanted to visit shortly after, but it ended up taking me longer than planned. on a three-and-leety day, I finally moved to lunch. a stylish new town room set, the place has a beautiful fireplace and elegant ceiling pink. It's really pretty smart. the service was irresistible and fast all the time, although, when I went, there was the same mysterious disappearing act that I encountered at my visit to her other two, which was a little strange. before leaving, I have been dressed by a few from their menu, of course, starting with the cream of the chestnut mushroom soup then with some macsween’s venison haggis, with the usual gadgets. the suppe was delicious and alone judged would be worthy of extraordinary consideration on the Soupquest scale. the mushrooms that overcrowded the suppe, however, were extremely chewing and while the accompanying toast brought good crumbs, the elements simply did not come together, which was a shame. much the same can be said for the main course. the venison haggis I heard a lot about and had tasted for the first time was absolutely excellent. the tattoos were also beautiful, but the näpfe were curious taste and the sea of rich aromatized game jus did not see all bonnie. So overall, if I were to focus only on the two central elements of the dishes I had, I would forgive stac polly 5/5 for her eating. Unfortunately, a result of annoying inaccuracies makes the dinge a rather frustrating culinary experience. I hope they have a more uniform experience when they visit what they should be as I. scores blythe scores scores stac polly 3.5/5 for eating 3/5 for presentation 4/5 for setting 3.5/5 for the service give a total of 14/20 I ate: chestnut mushroom soup; wild boar, neeps and tattoos in a whisky game I drank: water I wore: £17"

Popped in for a gin. What a lovely drink in a lovely atmosphere with lovely hospitality. A wide array of drinks, including gin, wine and whiskys'. The food menu looked lovely with lots of Scottish favourites available, we will be back to try. Thank you so much

we went here after a recommendation, and it was by far the best we had in edinburgh. the maître was nice and funny, and the place was nice and quiet. we found it really nice that it is in the cellar. the Scottish haggis were served packed in Filo bakery, we never tried them so, but were delicious. also the crème brûlée we had for dessert was amazing. I want to eat scottish starts here. that's one of my favorite restaurants. under the dublin street it has a great atmosphere, but it is the food that it will blow away absolutely. try 'haggis in filo pastry parcels' that even has the anti-Haggis people I know and made vegetarian wish they could enter for a night. ideal for a romantic night or book them before and take over the place for a bashur with their family.

Godson an English student at Edinburgh University had his here in one of the larger cellar rooms back pre-COVID. Brilliant location for around students in black tie and a handful of us adults. The place is well used to large groups and did us proud. Food, drinks all flowed and a great time was had by all. Afterwards there are lots of nearby late-night choices, including downstairs at the Little White Pig opposite.

Stac Polly's Dublin Street premises is a surprisingly expansive warren of New Town cellar rooms. The atmosphere combines the plush of a Baronial Mansion with a good dash of rustic Highland Farmhouse, and crisp white linen tells us we're in a proper restaurant. Opened in 1990, it's one of 'the' original Scottish Restaurants in Edinburgh, known as a classic go to place to take any visiting guests. I recently dined with 'stressed Bride To Be' and we had a most enjoyable, relaxed evening. The food and wine were delivered with that elusive balance between friendly and formal. To start, B 2 B opted for the smoked salmon and Arbroath smokie roulade 7.95 , served with a wasabi and saffron...read mor... Voir le carte

the room is traditional, stylish, reserved, but progressive so, tonight we dinate in the fine facility that was highly recommended by a good friend. that we have booked through their website, with reply confirmation, but no recording of a booking at the arrival was amateurish. but I dither. a bottle perrier jouet to really begin the mood that makes it all a little glittering. the simple house made baguette and French butter was so good. the duck of haggis in the miraculous Filo packages and plant sauce was delightful, while the duck breast with rich game jus was spectacular. not to mention the 2013 le mercurey burgund und den sauternen. well played ninja. only disappointment that was exagger...

I'm sure they are the same as me when they work in a certain part of the city, they tend to frequent places close. It's difficult if they have little time to save. but there are also days when they have some time away, and to foot only that few minutes from where they will buy a rich of possibilities open. whatever the case may be for them, remember to dive in stac pollys new gin and wine bar on dublin street. it is just a short walk from the st Andrew’s square and the street. they will be rewarded by a welcoming space, that is funny and underestimated. the atmosphere is important when they relax and the team of stac polly has it right. the new bar is above the well established restaurant an...

"new kapitel has caught my attention after I was on top ten on trip advisor only months after the opening in the oktober last year. that and the fact that it is open for my early january birthday, made it the perfect place to celebrate to become a little older. I was with the man and his family. the man is quite used to my taste and good to the kind of kitchen that would appeal to me for a special occasion; his family not so much and I was filled with shame as his mother scornful went through the menu trying to find something she would enjoy. I've eaten with the family of the man, and I know they enjoy eating, so I think it's a failure of the menu that it is not accessible. the benming always blooming and garnish can appeal to some, but for others it is overcomplicated and it is necessary to find a balance between the two. we start with the starters and I go for venison sour wort pithvier. the venison was underheated and incredibly dry, to the happiness the sourded a little moisturizing and so saved the whole dish, but the aromen were quite not clear, except the garnitur of plastered mushrooms I thoroughly enjoyed. for the largest part we chose a fish dish for our main,- sea trout, smoked muddles, petersilien and coast herbs. where the starter fell, the main recording is getting back. the dish is rich and creamy, and each element adds the complexity of the taste as a whole, without disturbing. the concept is now an old one, and it would be deceptive if it had not worked, as it would essentially pay with this place. I enjoyed my meal in new chapter, although I do not agree with it is stellar status under the hierarchy of edinburgh eateries. it is top ten position is just a flash in the pan of hot popularity, and in time it will be plated in the upper half of the middle stage where it belongs. and that is where it belongs, the dishes can be plated with a michelin star in understood, and the venue and the supporting media has the clean lines and empty slate look of fine but eat the team has a long gone to go if that is their real aim. at the end, although it was a beautiful meal, and cheap (at the moment I would not be surprised to see their prices slowly rise) and the man’s mother found something they enjoyed and that is the most important."
