"I was very, very impressed with my dining experience here; it was excellent. The portions are quite generous and beautifully presented. While it was busy and we had to wait a little for our meal, it was definitely worth it. The staff were friendly and efficient, even with the high volume of customers. The desserts deserve a special mention. I had the Aussie pavlova, which was absolutely delicious and enormous! I believe the single serving could easily feed two people, and the double would probably be enough for four."

We had a fantastic meal and received excellent service. We happened upon this place by chance, but we will definitely return intentionally!

Terrible! However, the quality of the food is excellent for the reasonable prices. The menu is diverse; the brat dinners are fantastic, and they offer an impressive dessert that not only looks amazing but also tastes wonderful. Voir le carte

I’ve never had liver cooked to such perfection. So tender, it didn’t need chewing. Roasties with oodles of flavour and crunch. Fresh crunch vegetables. Beautiful sauces. Every plate of food we chose was stunning, bountiful and outstandingly delicious! Thank you so much.

Very good local pub with great food! We popped into it after exploring Arundel castle which is only 10-15 minutes away. Friendly staff and nice and cosy vibes welcomed us. We ordered the goat cheese and souffle for appetiser the pork belly and meat pie for the main and the potion was MASSIVE! We couldn't eat everything but enjoyed its representation and indeed the tempting taste

First time there, just the two of us went as our friends had cancelled. From the very start it was a good experience a friendly greeting, a nice table and we were settled. Everything we chose was excellent with all elements of the best quality and flavour. Service was just right friendly but not intrusive and always on cue. We agreed that it was the best eating out experience we'd had in a long while. We joined the club and have re booked. Voir le carte

First time here and probably the last as we were just passing by.... annoyingly, as the place, the staff and the food were great. Very attentive staff and very polite. Lovely old pub and very nice and clean inside. A varied and different menu which is nice to see! Shared starter for 2, 3 soft drinks, 1 wine, 1 Cajun chicken burger and 1 Roast turkey for £56. Unfortunately this place is about 50 miles from where we live otherwise we would be regulars.

"Well, it 's been a while since I 've reviewed a place but this little gem has certainly reawakened my vigour for it. Visited this evening as a kind of belated birthday celebration with my husband and son and very glad we did indeed. We happened upon this place a few weeks back (passing by and grabbing a cocktail after the days plans fell through and instantly took to the place and it 's wonderful staff and from the off had intentions to visit again an so finally did tonight), within seconds of seating ourself at the bar we were remembered by the owners, which to me shows great calibre on the customer service front. As someone with an exceptionally sweet tooth when it comes to alcohol it was our lucky day to find they had cocktails on 2for£10 and hell can the owner Jo mix like a minx (even doing us an off menu blend to account for tastes). The husband not being a big drinker happily sat at the bar chatting with staff and customers nursing his Peroni whilst me and my son dived headlong into the extensive classical and modern mixed cocktail list. Having been lured into great expectations (previously sampling delicious tasters) from Jo 's lovely husband Dave on our first brief visit we were definitely eagerly placed to dive into dinner tonight. Our lovely waitress Sian, stood patiently while we chopped and changed idea 's and orders, laughed with us, checked regularly everything was to our tastes as did the other young waitress that dropped drinks over to us. Both girls portraying the perfect mix of friendly and professional, a refreshing change to be served by people that clearly enjoy their working environment. And on to the food... we started with olives (and boy was it a substantial portion in comparison with some establishments weak efforts), hubby was first in there, impressed with the quality of marinade (too many places these days forget the little efforts like this thinking folk can 't differentiate something tipped out of a supermarket packet). After much debate (I had my eye on far too many dishes) choices were made, Hubby had the Filo Kefta, which had a light pastry, adequate spice and smoothly complimentary dip, for main he went with the day 's Special of Lamb with fondant potato, heritage carrots and a divinely velvety Jus which he thoroughly enjoyed (and he 's hard to please, being well versed himself and making a point of getting the lovely Chef Darren a glass of wine in appreciation). The lad had a Sirloin steak burger cooked medium rare and is now demanding we visit again soon. lol I went with the Gravlax to start, instantly aware of the clean flavour from its curing cutting through (I even brought a titbit home for my kitty to enjoy), as for main, I 'd initially had my mind on fish but upon discovering the owner Jo was also a blue steak lover I had to try one there and wow they really take care in choosing their suppliers because that was an A grade cut of meat, even my son (who prefers medium-rare) upon trying a slice said it was an exceptional piece of meat I had it with asparagus, no sauce and swapped out the chips for a feta/pepper bowl which worked perfectly as did the glass of Shiraz that Jo picked out to compliment it for me. Genuinely I can not pick fault (read through my other reviews I write honestly, pick fault where warranted and compliment where due). Had this lovely little find been in our usual local it would surely become a regular haunt ours for sure. I would 100% recommend this place and extend our gratitude to all the staff for making our entire visit memorable and perfect."

"We were in Bury for a few days visiting family and the weather was beautiful , we live on the Wirral and frequently visit Brasco lounge in Liverpool of the same chain , which we love. We actually visited Racconto lounge 3 times on our visit , first time we had a brunch of bacon and egg muffin , which we really enjoyed (although the bacon was very salty) The next day we came back and had a lounge breakfast , and the following day we brought my husbands mum , and drank cups of tea while resting from shopping . We enjoyed all the meals , and its lovely inside , although we ate on the terrace in the sunshine and we found all the staff very pleasant and friendly . But..... we had 2 things let it down for us . Firstly on each occasion , the service was extremely slow, when we had breakfast , it wasn't very busy , but we waited ages , although our tea was brought out well before the food , meaning we then had no drinks to go with the food . The second problem was , after waiting ages , we had to send the breakfast back as it was really cold , and it seemed like it had been sat waiting , almost as long as we had , the bacon on both the breakfast muffin and the breakfast was really , really salty also. None of this would put us off , as we enjoyed the dining experience overall , but if you are in a rush , i really wouldn't recommend eating here , as the wait was alot longer than expected every time ."
