Every time we go food amazing total must lamb chops unreal , totally busy for a Thursday night good sign , wine extra cold , we been over 5 times every one outstanding

Vegetarian option was not good which i guess its mostly because ita a nonveg heavy restaurant, but still put some spices in veg curries thats all. Non veg was liked by my friends.

12 to 13 years as guests. Amazing place with top class food and service and where we visit as often as possible. Quality food top class service and very reasonable prices. Highly recommended.

We held a business meal at the Spice Lounge for a group of 9 people. The staff were very helpful in guiding our selection of dishes, and the food was excellent. Thoroughly recommend a visit if you are in Durham.

You have to find somewhere to park which is always at least a 5-10 minute walk away. However, the food is excellent and the staff very helpful. Only downside is we had to wait over 45 minutes for our coffee... Apart from that, would certainly recommend. Voir le carte

Arrived at 21.00 having allowed plenty of time before their closing time (hours) to be told they had switched off all their kitchen equipment as it was quiet, this is midweek in Cathedral City in the UK. It was far from quiet, struggled to book any hotels or taxis! Having eaten here previously this used to be a very well run Indian with excellent customer service, things have very clearly changed. I suggest you steer well clear when in Durham.

We decided to revisit Spice Lounge after a long absence. We arrived on a Friday night at 6:15pm and were seated immediately. The waiter gave us time to choose our drinks and food. My husband ordered 2 Cobra beers, and we started with Poppadoms followed by Seekh Kebab and Onion Bhaji. For our main course, we had Masala Chicken, Masala Chilli Chicken, Mushroom Pilau, and 1 Naan bread. The food was delicious and filling, but there was too much sauce in my bowl and my husband agreed, which seemed like a waste. After paying the bill, as we tried to leave, the man sitting behind me had his chair so close to mine that I couldn't move my chair to get up. I ended up twisting my left knee while trying...

Please do not expect good desi food here. The staff and owners are very nice so it pains me to have to write the rest of this review, please accept my apologies in advance. From purely a managerial sense you seem to run an amazing restaurant. Let me preface this by saying my standards are not high, and I assure you I am quite happy eating those tescos indian microwave meals. I have been to spice lounge around 12 13 times for various socials and events and I must say very few dishes here are even remotely passable. Expect bland, over sweetened, and often very strange flavours. I keep going here again and again after reading the reviews and assuming something is wrong with me. Why cant I enjoy... Voir le carte
