"no 120 steps from the always popular art court passage in the direction alaunpark and yet still a secret tip for the dresdner visitor, who can't miss the passage usually anyway, then look over here next! The small caffe, which is popular with the native, captivates with its charm and the cozy living room atmosphere. you enter and feel at ease. it smells like freshly baked cakes and the friendly ladies have always a smile on the lips. the motto "listen on your bauch" lets me look at regular intervals and I have not been disappointed yet!The selection of the cakes is quite urban and impresses with fancy sorting, as well as with classics that are moved into a new light. here is still handmade in the foreground, which you taste, but you can also notice this at one of the best early pieces in the new city. especially to mention are the eggs in the glass, which can be refined with an art tomaten - chorizio sugo. also for in between freshly occupied bagels are offered which are from the ply, with which special something shine and clearly stand out from the uniform! But also the small but fine lunch offer which can be seen regularly. usually there are 2 suppen, 2 pastas (vegetaric) and a crunchy salat, whose dressing as well as the others, leans to the respective season.Bleben only or the great tee varieties (hari), the hot chocolate, and the delicious Limo ́s (proviant) that you can hardly catch a bit in the city lunchtime. all the foods are also to have take away, so that you can also sit in the alaunpark, not far away, to watch the colorful drive. Not suitable for larger groups. For breakfast to the weekend, rather reserve. There are approx. 20 places in the interior and about 15 more outside."

If you are strolling through the neustadt of the day, stop at this small and refined bar where you can enjoy delicious cakes or brunch, sipping the highest quality or a great coffee. enjoy the delicate and luminous furnishings and if time allows you to sit in the tables outside.

A small and original location. Have eaten a very good roast curry soup. Fresh mint tea is really from fresh mint herbs. And the homemade cakes are a poem. The unusual cakes and soup creations change depending on the season and variety of ideas from the owner. The selection is small but fine. Yes, of course coffee and various teas.

as a former neighbor I saw the sperling slipping. from the beginning in 2013 there were and today there are still excellent cakes, small pasta dishes, salad, bagels and breakfast as well as a good selection of hot and cold drinks. today we were there for breakfast. the eggs in the glass and the cheese breakfast were very beautifully dressed and tasted excellent. fresh as the squeezed orange juice were all ingredients. the staff and the owner are very friendly. summarized: from the chick has become a powerful vogel.

"I stayed at the hotel in which this restaurant is situated, it is on the 5th floor, and I passed it a couple of times but it was always empty. One reason, I think, is that the menu is rather obscure, with slashes between the dish description as inscallop/saffron/guava/back puddingA little off- putting, I felt. However, as a lone diner, I was getting pretty fed up of waiting for bad food each evening, although in a beautiful setting, Dresden's main square and its surrounds. So on my last night I treated myself and got a table on the roof terrace. The waitress was very helpful and friendly, and produced a good selection of bread. It's clear there are 5 courses, an appetiser, a hot starter, a soup course, a main and dessert. I didn't want the soup. This wasn't a problem. To start, I had quail's egg/chick/gorgonzola/rocket, but it was so much more than that! It had a delicious fried bread cube, a gorgonzola sorbet, and crumbled herbs to garnish. It was, superb. But the description is selling itself short! The hot starter was also good, scallops in a saffron sauce, with a black pudding jelly. The "guava" ends up on the dish as a smear, nothing more. My main was beef/capers/sour cherries/ smoked aubergine, but again, more- a delicious sauce, and perfect mash- a small amount, but perfect....There are 3 dessert options, I enjoyed a nougat with gold leaf. In all, the food was beautifully presented, and the best food in Dresden so far, on a par, that is, with Kallemeiers where you have to book a table. This place deserves the same popularity but is selling itself short with the odd menu descriptions. It scares people off, like myself. I urge you to go and try for yourself. There's a great evening to be had, in a stunning setting."
