"[CASH ONLY-no credit cards] On the one hand it is a Kosher restaurant - if it wasn't here there wouldn't be another choice in the City...at least that is what our research showed and was confirmed by the owners. On the other hand it is a mediocre restaurant in a community center. The staff is perfunctory but accommodating and they will help call you a taxi. It is in the JCC which is a very secure installation. The roadway is blocked off so its one way in front with no stopping allowed. You must press the buzzer to admitted in the gate - once inside there is another security and ID check. Despite its obscure location the restaurant was packed both nights we were here so reservations are recommended - on the first night it was packed with foreign visitors in Frankfurt for a trade show and while many came back the next night there was also what looked like a large local community group who were seated at a couple of mega-tables. There is no option of ordering off a menu for walk-ins so its an all-you-can eat buffet -- and its priced as if you will gorge yourself. There are about 20 cold starter selection - hummus, olives, beets, vegetables and egg salad and chopped liver (note: we stayed away from the egg salad and liver as it was served on unrefrigerated plates and we no idea how long it was there). There are about 4 or five hot choices - meat, fish or chicken. The food is, well, mediocre but the selection is good and they did change from night to night. There were also two hot soups. And there was the usual selection of desserts and fruit. All in all it was OK - perhaps my biggest gripe is the fixed price all-you-can eat price of 45 Euro per person (food only) - CASH ONLY NO CREDIT CARDS! Also if you are coming it is a good idea to call first to find out their hours - we were told they were closed on Monday, but on this particular Monday they were open thanks to the big trade show in town. There is one waiter - all he did was take our alcoholic drink order and clear our plates - the bottled water and sodas are, of course, extra - but are available self-serve. We appreciated the Kosher choice."

The main value for me is that its kosher with fast service and fresh/tasty food. Its value is less for people that dont keep kosher. Order humus/flafel as an entree and chicken for the main. Both were very good. Together with a beer and a tip it came out to a little less than 30 euros.

The dishes are nicely prepared and are served at any time warm. This restaurant actually has potential to become my next favorite place. Not only the nice staff was the absolute hit during my visit, but also the good climate. Das Ambiente ist eher schlicht, aber großzügig; die Bedienung sehr charmant und liebenswürdig. Ich aß hier einen bunten Salat und danach ein Entrecôte mit Gemüse. Der Salat war in Ordnung, das Gemüse ebenso; doch aus dem Fleisch beim Schneiden floss ein wenig Wasser auf den Teller; was für mich ein Zeichen für keine ganz so hohe Qualität ist. Ich hoffe aber, mich hier zu täuschen! Erwähnenswert noch: Der sehr gute Kaffee danach.

Heute wollten wir einmal koschere Küche ausprobieren und haben mittags einen Israelischen Salat plus 2 Mal Auf der Haut gebratenen Zander gegessen. Dazu nur Mineralwasser. Der Salat war leider eiskalt auf einem ebenso kalten Teller, der Fisch war an den Ecken schwarz verbrannt und sehr trocken. Die Beilagen waren Weißkrautgemüse und Süßkartoffelbrei. Diese waren relativ ungewürzt, mir persönlich viel zu fade, auch mit Kräutern wurde nicht aromatisiert, aber vielleicht ist der lasche Geschmack ja typisch und intendiert. Der Kellner war nicht wirklich freundlich. Das Ambiente erinnert an eine Kantine, die Preise für das was geboten wurde sehr hoch, wobei zu berücksichtigen ist, dass koscher ko...
