"After days of eating German food and currywurst, we were SO EXCITED to eat something different. My boyfriend is gluten-free (medical, not by choice) so finding places to eat, especially when traveling, can be a challenge. We read about Simela on a gluten free Berlin blog and decided to try it out. It's a bit out of the way from the touristy areas, but so worth the journey. It's in an adorable neighborhood in Mitte, and there are lots of wine bars and cafes around. Quick walk (10 mins) from the end of Museum Island. They spoke German, Italian, and enough English to order properly. We both got pizza. Boyfriend got a gluten free crust, and said it was typical GF crust but tasted great. I had regular wheat. Both pizzas were super good, and are served with homemade infused oil - garlic and hot pepper, and rocket salad on top. Other options included salad, pasta (GF options here too), and desserts. Price level was great too - we paid about 25 euros for two large pizzas! Way cheaper than what I'd pay for similar size/quality in DC! Definitely recommend this place!!"

For less than 10 euros, you have a huuuuge pizza, with really tasty ingredients, and any of the pizzas has a gluten-free equivalent. They delivered the food in no time and with good service.

If you need a gluten free meal then this is the place to go in Berlin. The buckwheat pizzas were the best my daughter had ever had. It was so good we went back on our last day to have another.

En super hyggelig restaurant som serverer byens bedste GF pizza. Tynd og sprød boghvede bund, til en overkommelig pris. Det anbefales at sidde nedenunder, da stemningen er en smule dynamisk ovenpå.

We had a wonderful visit in Berlin with the added pleasure of a warm welcome to Simela finest food. I have coeliac disease so cannot eat gluten so finding somewhere to eat in Germany is difficult. Great choice of gf pizza and beer! Very cool thanks guys.

Vi tog på simela fordi de efter sigende skulle have fine glutenfrie pizza.Vi bestilte bord hvilket var godt da der virkeligt ikke er mange borde.Tjeneren var rigtig venlig og smilende og hjælpsom.Vi fik en antipasti forret til deling uden problemer.2 almindelige og 2 glutenfrie pizza fik vi også.De Glutenfrie er med bund af boghvede så det skal man kunne lide. Kan man det er de rigtigt gode.Alt maden var veltilberedt og lækkert.Prisen ok

Great gluten free pizza, and the gluten free tiramisu was a real highlight!! It's really hard to find gluten free food in Berlin, and this was one of my favourite meals that we had. The GF pizza was great, we ordered a GF pasta too, and I didn't like that as much but I think it was just the sauce that we ordered. The GF tiramisu was just amazing, even my husband who isn't gluten free loved it. Really nice area to sit outside on the street on a sunny day, and the staff were lovely. Coffee wasn't really to our liking, but there is a really good coffee place right nearby.

Wir waren zum ersten Mal im Simela in Mitte und sehr zufrieden.Wir haben Flammkuchen mit Dinkelteig und eine Bresaola Pizza auf Buchweizenboden bestellt.Beides hat toll geschmeckt: der Boden war gleichzeitig Knusprig und Saftig, der Belag schmackhaft, würzig und lecker.Die unterschiedlichen Teige machen die Pizzen/Flammkuchen zu etwas Besonderem und lassen sie in äußerst positiver Weise anders schmecken, als man das von einem normalen Pizzaboden kennt.Das Restaurant ist schick-rustikal eingerichtet und man isst in einer zwanglosen, entspannten Atmosphäre.Wir würden das Restaurant auf jeden Fall weiter empfehlen.
