Shisan - Carte

We went to Shisan after seeing a german cuisine program. It is really worth to go there and enjoy sushi, especially some of their specialities.

They have a good selection on sushi and always very fresh. The outdoors area is very cute. Price is more upper end but totally appropriate for the quality.

The staff is very helpful . The place is very comfortable (the outside area seems also perfect) Prices are a little high but the food is very good and the quality is there . Voir le carte

as a group of friends we ordered some happy hour cocktails....not one was made right. never had such bad cocktails in our whole life and this place is not even cheap! stay away and don't delete your money! was more than that, slow down.

For many years this was one of my favorite sushi places in Frankfurt. Recently it seems the owner has changed and instead of excellent fish quality, prepared on a high level one gets an all-you-can-eat in very mediocre quality. Absolutly not recommendable anymore, sadly.

My husband I live in Frankfurt and usually go to Shisan once a week. We have tried a lot of other sushi restaurants around town, but always come to the same conclusion again that Shisan offers best value for money. We always order the special...#108. You have to try their Shisan rolls. We absolutely love them. Be sure to make sure they understood your Sake order. Whenever my husband orders cold Sake, they bring him warm. And vice versa. It is a pity to notice that the service is getting slower every time I visit: 1h or three beers waiting for our food (raw food, not cooked one!!! It was one of my favorite places for Sushi in the evenings in Frankfurt. The...compositions (plates once turn up incomplete and they made mistakes in the orders... it also seems (but I cannot be sure that the portions got smaller. Last time they even made mistakes when paying. Today, the food was good once it got there!

For me atmosphere is important. It's a small place and basically in cold time you have no place to seat except 1 table on the entrance and round bar type places with moving food. All the time door was open and people from restaurant moved...some staff there.. Service is good, waiter is nice. Sushi is also good, we have ordered 2 time in a row.. But we don't feel comfortable being there. So to eat quickly it's agood solution. To have nice dinner I would not suggest.

I ordered sushi from Shisan to home. I have been in many sushi places around Frankfurt, this one i chose because of good reviews. I thought, ok, this place is more pricey and you get less sushi, but if people are thinking of it so...good, i want to treat my bf (who adores sushi) and me with something very nice... wrong. For more than 50 euros, portion was, yep, small... and it did't taste spectacular. Especially, Shisan Sashimi (i took combination for 29,50 eur). Dragon Eyes and Hawaii Inside Out were ok.
